Another wonderful thing about the word of God is
that it has never and it can never fail. Whatever the word of God says stands.
That is why Numbers 23:19 says, “God is not a man that he should lie; neither
the son of man that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or
hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Ezra 1:1 says, “Now in the
first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of
Jeremiah might be fulfilled.”
Prophet Jeremiah spoke those words about 100 years
before Cyrus came to be but because the word of God will never fail nor fall to
the ground without accomplishing its mission, the word God spoke that time came
to pass. In John 4:46-54, a certain noble man’s son was sick. The moment the
man saw Jesus, he said to Him, “Sir, come down here (to Capernaum) my child
die.” Bible says Jesus answered him, “Go thy way; thy son liveth.”
May I remind you that this man travelled from
Capernaum to Galilee (It would take a vehicle travelling at 60kmph 128 hours
and 17 minutes, and 641.4 hours by foot if you continuously walk at the speed
of 6km). The stress alone was enough to make the noble man wonder if Jesus was
kidding, but Bible says, “And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken
unto him, and he went his way.” He understood that the word of Jesus is ever
unfailing. His servant confirmed that the child got healed same hour Jesus
spoke.
Isa 55:11 says, “So shall my word (the word of God)
be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it
shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto
I sent it.” Study the word, meditate on it and confess it and I am sure your
testimony would surprise even you.
Bless you!
