FRIENDS

I tell people that you cannot claim to want to become a medical doctor and all you go about doing is attending meetings with herbalists, you sure are training to become a native doctor. Many believers’ actions are in opposite of their desires and proclamations, which is why many keep staying in the level of eating crumbs when God has ordained them to become a baker.

Many believers have surrounded themselves with people who are not going where they are going which is why they are not anywhere near their destination. You cannot be going to London and you decide to board Emirates Airline going to Dubai because your friend is on it, you sure are wasting your time and heading for the wrong destination. Some of us have friends who we know for certainty are going somewhere totally different from where we are going, yet we keep friending them in the name of, “we have been friends for long,” “her mother is my aunt’s distant cousin so we are very close.”

Sir, listen to me, until Lot was separated from Abraham, that Abrahamic covenant never got spoken out. Gen 13:14-15 says, “And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever.”

Some people need to disconnect from some people before their lives can ever become better than it is. Whoever does not make your life better is making it bitter. Some spend more time with their friends than they spend preparing for their future. Some even hardly talk to their Maker because they are busy talking to their friends. It’s good to have friends, but I am not sure it is a crime not to have. If your friends are not going where you are going, they will take you to where they are going.
