One powerful force that I find hard to describe is
the power of love – it is just too amazing. I used to find it hard to carry a
12.5kg gas cylinder because it is very heavy, but carrying my wife who weighs
more is always fun to do because of the love. Have you discovered that when you
are doing what you love, you really don’t care about time? I have come to the
conclusion that for optimum performance in life, love has got be in the
equation.
God is so much interested in the subject of love
that when someone asked Him in Matt 22:36-40 which commandment is the greatest.
He said, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy
soul, and with all thy mind.” “And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love
thy neighbor as thyself.” Love made the Father give Jesus unto us and as a
matter of fact, the scripture says that because of love, Jesus preferred dying
for us than living because He could have opted out but love made Him endure the
pain.
I understand in this world of ours that it’s easier
to love those who love us and hate those who don’t send us or did hurt us, but
the scripture in Matt 5:43 says that even tax collectors (perceived as sinners)
do that already, so why don’t you try and do the extraordinary which is by
loving your enemies, doing good to those who hate you and praying for those who
despise you. Disobeying the commandment to love is like disobeying the entire
commandments because Jesus Himself said in Matt 2:40 that love is the
foundation of all other commandments.
The true reflection of your righteousness, evidence
of your relationship with Christ and in-filling of the Holy Ghost is love
because 1 John 4:8 says that, “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is
love,” and you know love is fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22).
I love you all.
