KNOW YOUR HABITAT AND STAY THERE

August 20, 2014

We all know that the water is the thriving habitat for a fish, as such you would agree with me that the day a fish decides that it wants to go for sightseeing on the land, that day it becomes a source of protein for man. Many humans are in a dire state of confusion, frustration and depression because they have left their natural habitat and are now struggling to survive in their “man-made” habitat.

This is a world where we are all searching for that which is lucrative so that we come become celebrities overnight, which is where many of us miss it. The word of God came to Jeremiah in Jer 1:5 that, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Imagine Jeremiah now decided he preferred doing business to occupying the office of a prophet, I am sure the Bible would have recorded him as the most wretched businessman in the Old Testament.

When Apostle Peter was called by Jesus and the journey began, the one-time prosperous fisherman started going about with the Son of man hath not where to lay his head – in order words, they were squatting around. Apostle Peter could have easily said, “Sir, I need to change profession,” but he kept following and abiding and then one day Bible says the uneducated man was seen addressing educated people and in Acts 5 scripture says, Apostle Peter’s shadow was healing the sick.

1 Cor 7:20 says, “Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.” Sir/ma, whatever God has called you to do, please keep doing it because in doing it lies your promotion and progress in life. David kept shepherding and from there God lifted him. Elisha kept following Elijah and from there God lifted him. Always remember that a lizard in America WILL NEVER become an alligator in Japan.

Be wise!
