It is so sad how many believers are living lives
short of God’s best because of fear. Many of us have wonderful ideas but we are
always afraid it might not make sense. Have you ever been in a meeting and you
had a comment to give but you were fearful, and before you could find the
strength to open your mouth, someone else does and that person becomes a super
star. Fear has crippled many destinies more than the so called ‘witches and
wizards.’
Some are scared their proposals might not be
accepted and as such, they have refused to even try. Some men are still single
today for fear of ‘what if the sister says No?’ Bible says they that put their
trusts in the Lord shall be strong. It then means that they that put their
trusts in Satan shall be weak and fearful. If you are fearful, you cannot walk
with God, which was why God told Gideon to tell the fearful soldiers to go back
home in Jdg 7. Funnily, out of 32000 soldiers, 22000 were fearful.
Isa 35:4 says, “Say to them that are of a fearful
heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God
with a recompence; he will come and save you.” Your attitude of faith or fear
is a pointer to who you believe.
