January 18, 2015 - OVERCOMING DIFFICULTY – 2

Sometimes we have prayed and yet, there seems to be no answer. When this happens, the most natural thing for us to assume is that God has refused to answer that prayer, or our sin is a blockage. Well, as much as these could be true, truer is the fact that most of us pray but it all ends in that place of prayer. What is the point in applying for US visa when you are not expecting to get it? Isn’t that a total waste of your time, energy and resources?

To overcome difficulty, after you must have prayed, you need to expect God to intervene. 95% of us pray, only 5% expect answers, and I am sure we have all heard the statement that, expectation is the mother of manifestation. The scripture says, when we pray, we must believe that we have received and that’s when we actually receive (Matt 11:24). If you believe I would be visiting your house, you would have prepared for my coming. If you believe your prayer is answered, your attitude must show it.

Sir/ma, whenever you pray, God hears, but when you expect, He answers. Most times, Jesus would ask, “Do you believe?” In other words, if you don’t believe, you won’t live to be what you have asked for because we are products of our beliefs.

Start believing right!
