Fear is a very terrible emotion. When you see
someone who is fearful of death, the sight of a cockroach in the middle of the
night turns him to a chicken, as he starts panicking. Fear is a belief and
remember what the Bible says in Matt 9:29 that it would always be unto us
according to our beliefs. It then means we can receive by faith and also by
fear. The latter is the case of Job.
In Job 3:25, the man said, “For the thing which I
greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.”
I keep saying it that we are products of our beliefs, so if we keep nursing
fearful beliefs in our system, we would keep living in fear. We must know that
not only does God speaks to us, Satan does too, but he speaks lies (John 8:44),
so whenever we believe any of his lies (e.g. you cannot receive from God
because of your sins), we get deceived and we open the door for him to start
working in our lives.
Bible says in Heb 4:16 that, “Let us therefore come
boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to
help in time of need.” You cannot by fear obtain from God because fear is
simply faith in what Satan says.
