I don’t know if you have ever observed it that
whether you are feeling high or low, sick or sane, happy or sad, time doesn’t
wait. Sometimes I wish time could be a bit flexible and generous enough to just
chill a bit when one is trying to fix some things or when not having the best
of time. But sadly, time doesn’t wait for no man. However, the same 24hours
allotted to the rich is the same allotted to the poor. In other words, it is a
level playing ground for us all.
Unfortunately, time is one the most abused resources
by man. One of the ways by which you can have a different and better story to
tell this year is by judiciously using the time available unto you. The good
book says in Psa 90:12 that, “So teach us to number our days, that we
may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” You can only become valuable in
life when you value the resources that are at your disposal. C.S. Lewis said, “If
you read history you will find that the Christians who did the most for the
present world were just those who thought most of the next.”
Knowing that we will have to give an account to the
One who gives us time should motivate us to use it well. Apostle Paul said, “Be
very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most
of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” Hear this, the beauty of your
life in 2015 is a product of the premium you place on time.
Be wise!
