Christianity doesn’t mean we should shy away from
reality. A songwriter says, “No matter what I face, when trouble come my way.”
Most times we replace the trouble by success using faith, but we fail to
realize that Jesus never promised a difficulty-free journey, He only promised
us a victorious outcome (John 16:33), which is why when faced with difficulties
and tough challenges, be strong knowing that the best time a candle shines is
when there is darkness.
When faced with whatever kind of difficulty, the
first thing you need to do is to bring God into that situation through prayer.
2 Chron 7:14 says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble
themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then
will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
If you will pray, God will perform because He is our present Help in the times
of trouble.
However, if you refuse to pray, you will end up a
prey. Hezekiah was marked for death but when he prayed, God gave him fifteen
more years as bonus to live. Remember a closed mouth is a closed destiny.
Pray so you won’t pray.
