Renowned British evangelist - Smith Wigglesworth
said there was a time he was a discussion with Jesus and there was a demon
disturbing them. He said, Jesus kept talking, and he was wondering if Jesus won’t
rebuke the demon. After some moment, the British evangelist could not take it
no more and screamed, “thou demon, I have power to bind and loose, so I bind
you this moment.” He said the demon left immediately.
Later, he asked Jesus, why He didn’t rebuke
the demon. He said Jesus answered and said, “since my departure to the Father,
you have been empowered by the Holy Ghost to bind and loose. So if you want me
to do anything, concerning the work of my hands command ye me.” Luke 10:19
says, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and
over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” What
a promise!
You are a powerhouse. You are a carrier of
the Spirit of God, as such; you are loaded with enormous power. You are not a
weak vessel; you carry God on the inside of you. You have authority to bind and
to loose. You have been ordained to be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish
the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over
the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
You are a ruler. You are change agent.
However, it is worthy of note that the power on the inside of you would be
useless without having a relationship with the source of power. The seven sons
of Sceva suffered not because the power was not there, but the relationship was
not there with the power source. Situations and circumstances will answer to
you when you have a relationship with Jesus. Develop that relationship with
Jesus and all things would answer to you.
