There is this
slang that I hear so often – “sure banker”. That God never fails is a sure
banker. This was the understanding that prophet Elijah had when he requested
that Ahab should bring the people of Israel and the four hundred and fifty prophets
of Baal to the city center for a “SURE BANKER GOD” challenge.
The prophet
said, give us two bullocks; and call ye on the name of your gods, and I will
call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be
God. The prophets of Baal cried out to their god but got no response. Elijah
mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he
is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be
awaked. And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives
and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.
When it was
Elijah’s turn, he was so sure of his God that he requested that twelve barrels
of water be poured upon his own bullock. Everywhere was wet. Elijah did no
cutting, wailing or shouting before fire of the Lord fell down and from that
moment, the Lord God became the God of the land.
He did not
fail the three Hebrew boys. No matter the situation, God can never fail. Go
through the entire Bible and you will see no place where God failed. Bible says
He is the same yesterday, today and forever more. He did not fail yesterday, He
cannot fail today and He will not fail tomorrow.
Have faith in
Him like Elijah did. Be convinced He is treating your case like the three
Hebrew boys. Be assured He’s got you covered like Daniel. In whatever area you
have failed before, God will give you double success in Jesus Name and from
henceforth, as God liveth, failure departs completely from your camp in Jesus
Name. Amen!
