The scripture says in Rom 8:31 that, what
shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? I
have learnt that if God be for us, no man on earth can be against us except us.
In order words, no matter how much God is trying to be for you, the only person
that is permitted to be against you is you.
The children of Israel were God’s own
people. No man dared be against them for God was for them. However, in Judges
13:1, Bible says, “And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of
the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty
years.” No man was against them, they were their own enemy because of their
love for evil.
Brother Samson was a very powerful man.
With the jawbone of an ass, he slew a thousand men. When he was done and was
very thirsty, God clave an hollow place that was in the jaw, and there came
water there out. God was indeed for him, however, Brother Samson became his own
enemy the day he went into adultery. That was the day his destiny got
shattered.
God is not interested in seeing you and I
suffer, Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Refuse
to be against yourself. Joseph refused to be against himself when he refused to
sleep with his master’s wife. If he had, he would have died a nobody. Sin
blocks God off your case and makes you a tool in the hand of the devil.
The moment a man entertains sin in his
life, he gives the devil a free pass to torment and toil with his destiny. 1
John 3:8 says, “He that committeth sin is of the devil.” Repent today and
depart from iniquity totally and no man shall be able to stand against you.
