Almost all believers that I have come across know the verse of the scripture that says, “All things are possible.” However, many of them refuse or pretend not to be aware of the fact there is a concluding part of that verse that says, “To him that believes.”
Whoever wants to enjoy God and obtain from God must do away with unbelief. It is one factor that limits most believers from entering into their promised land. Heb 3:19 makes it clear that the reason why some children of Israel could not make it into their promised land was because of unbelief.
In 2King 7, a prophecy came out from the mouth of God that a measure of fine flour would be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria. However, the lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? In verse 20, Bible says, this man (a whole Minister of Finance) was trodden upon and he died because of unbelief.
One man on the other hand understood that he needed to do away with unbelief in order to receive from Jesus. In Mark 9:20-27, the man brought his son with dumb spirit to the disciples but they could not
heal him, so he went to Jesus. Jesus said, “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” The man quickly responded, “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” The boy got healed.
Sir, there are wonderful promises that God has outlined for your life, but if you entertain unbelief in your heart, it would cripple your faith and deny you of your inheritances in God. Your job is not to figure out how God will solve your case, your job is to believe, that’s why you are called a believer.
Believe God whether it makes sense or not. Remember, God can never fail.
