Josh 21:43-44 says, “And the LORD gave unto
Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they
possessed it, and dwelt therein. And the LORD gave them rest round about,
according to all that he sware unto their fathers.”
If there is anyone’s word that could be
held onto, it is the word of God. The word of a mortal man can change, but the
word of God changeth not. Josh 21:45 says, “There failed not ought of any good
thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.”
Num 23:19 says, “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man,
that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken,
and shall he not make it good?”
The word of God came to father Abraham
concerning Sarah in Gen 17:16 that, “And I will bless her, and give thee a son
also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings
of people shall be of her.” Abraham had difficulty believing this promise,
Sarah laughed within herself that, “Me, that I am waxed old shall I have
pleasure, my lord being old also?”
In Gen 21:1-2, Bible says, “And the LORD
visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For
Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of
which God had spoken to him.” Whatever comes out of the mouth of God MUST come
to pass.
Has
God promised you something and it looks like the thing is not forthcoming,
relax, God’s word faileth not. Jesus promised the disciples the Holy Ghost and
the promise was fulfilled. Search out promises for your life from the word of
God and hold on to them.
God
has never failed before, and He cannot fail in your own time.
