Whenever you
see the acronym “WYSIWYSR” anywhere, remember I invented it. Okay? Anyways, on
a more serious note, it means – What You Sow Is What You Shall Reap. Creative right?
Lol. One of the things I love about life and God is that Jehovah is not a
magician. He is a miracle worker.
Before you
can reap, you have to sow. Hos 8:7 says, “For they have sown the wind, and they
shall reap the whirlwind.” With God, a seed of apple when planted can produce
more than 100 apples. That’s why when Isaac sowed in Gen 26, he received in the
same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. The most important thing is
that you must sow something before you can reap.
However, we
live in a world where most people sow potato and are expecting to reap yam. Gal
6:7 says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth,
that shall he also reap.” Prov 22:8 says, “He that soweth iniquity shall reap
vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail,” “but to him that soweth
righteousness shall be a sure reward.” (Prov 11:18)
What are you
sowing? Some are busy sowing strife, discord, division, trouble and calamity
around and they are praying for peace, I am sorry, Bible says the wicked shall
not know peace. Gal 6:8 says, “For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the
flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit
reap life everlasting.” That is why the scripture says you are in this world,
but not of this world.
Examine your life;
what have you been sowing in your place of work; church; home and community? Check
the kind of seed you have been sowing all these while. If not seed of
righteousness, repent today, restitute where applicable and you shall have a sure
reward here on earth and in heaven.
