Sometimes
it is so impossible not to hear some reports that would break our hearts, make
us feel bad and maybe bitter, but the report is not an issue, the issues are
how we receive the report and what we choose to do with the report.
In Num_13:33, Moses sent out
spies into the land of Canaan. Few of the spies said “And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak,
which come of the giants: and we were in
our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight”.
Immediately the children of Israel heard this, they became
sad, heartbroken and hopeless. They wished they had not left the land of Egypt.
They cried for a whole night.
However, in Isa38:1 “In those days was
Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him,
and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live”.
I
was trying to imagine myself in the shoes of Hezekiah. I am not sure that
prophet Isaiah would go back home the same way he came to deliver that report
o. what a report!
Whose
report would you believe?
But
I love what King Hezekiah did, Bible says he turned his face toward the wall
and prayed. He ended up living for another fifteen more years.
“I
wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in good health…” is God’s
promise for you.
Forget
about that report that says you have fibroid, none shall be barren in the land
says the Lord. That report of cancer is not yours, none shall be feeble in the
land says the Lord. Your IQ is not low, you are a wonderful and a fearful creature
of God made in God’s own image. You can never be demoted, you shall be the head
and not the tail saith the Lord.
I
pray that for the rest of your life, the grace to always embrace God’s report
over man’s report shall be your portion in Jesus Name. Amen!
