GRACE FOR GREATNESS

Few days ago, I was listening to a radio show “AY Live” by the popular comedian Ayo Makun, a.k.a AY. He started out by saying that he might not be the funniest comedian in Nigerian or even the most creative comedian in Nigeria, but where he has gotten to today has not being by his own power or knowledge, but by the grace of God.

I was seriously touched. Of a truth, that there are other comedians out there funnier than AY, but not as great as AY. Talent is never enough, grace is needed. If you like, be more talented than the word talented, without the grace of God, greatness is far from you.

The grace of God is responsible for picking a beggar from the dust of the earth to a place where kings bow down to him. It was not hard work that made God chose David over other of his brothers, it was grace.

Someone said that Grace means God in the race of a man. As long as God is involved in your race, you can never be a backbencher.

Greatness is not only by how hard you work. It is not only by how late you sleep or early you wake up. Greatness is a product of God’s grace. If the Lord does not build the house, the laborer labors in vain.

I am pretty sure that there are some people who do not know as much as you do, but you are not as great as they are.  Greatness is not by how talented you are, it is just plainly a matter of grace.

Without the grace of God, disgrace is inevitable.

When the grace of God is upon you, every little thing you do looks big. To become great in life, as much as you work very hard, plan very well, you need to understand the place of grace in your life.

Grace of God makes the race of your life great.

For a reader, I prophecy that the grace of God will take you from that low land to that higher ground in Jesus Name. Amen!
