SOS

SOS could mean Save Our Ship; Save Our Souls; and Save Our Succor.

Today, I want us to look at SOS from the angle of Save Our Souls.

Mat8:25  And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.

Our God is a present help in the times of need. He is always available to help as many as call on Him. Jer 33:3 says Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Don’t be too big not to ask God for help. I am so sure there would have been other ships in that sea that the disciples could have signaled to for help, but the truth is they were also facing the great tempest that arose that day.

I love a song by Wale Adenuga that says that other people would like to help you, but they also have their own issues. They have challenges. They are also like you. They are also in need.

But there is a God that can never fail. The Almighty God. The one that used the belly of a fish as a means of transportation for His own servant. If only you will cry out to God and God alone, He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Hannah cried unto God and became a mother. Blind Bartimaeus cried out unto Jesus and his sight was restored. Never believe that your uncle can solve your problem. No man can help you the same way God will do.

Stop making a man your source of help. Stop relying on the ability of a man. Let God be your one and only source of help. IF YOU EVER NEED TO CRY OUT FOR HELP, CRY OUT ONLY TO GOD. Jer 17:5 says Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

It is only a foolish goat that will go to a lion for help.

From today henceforth, as you make God your only source of help, before you call, He will answer you; and while you are yet speaking, He will hear you in Jesus Name. Amen!
