It is not a curse that whatever a man sows, he shall
reap no matter who the man is. In the agricultural world, it is only a foolish
farmer that would expect to reap corn yet he is busy planting rice. The same
principle still applies to our day to day living as a man is bound to reap
whatever he has sown, maybe not immediately, but one day someday and the thing
about the harvest is that it is always in multiple of the sown seed.
As a matter of truth, the law of harvest states
further that you reap more than you sow. Hos 8:7 says, “For they have sown the
wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind.” What harvest are you expecting? Check
the seed you are sowing. If you sow right, you will harvest right. If you sow
righteousness, you will reap abundant life, if you sow iniquity, you will reap
otherwise.
Haman sowed a seed of discord when he sent out that
order in Esther 3 that all Jews should be killed. However, the word of God says
in Prov 6:14&15 that, “Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief
continually; he soweth discord. Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly;
suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.” When his calamity came, his
innocent ten sons ate out of it.
When the Shunamite woman was busy sowing seeds of
love in the life of Elisha, she didn’t know she had activated her harvest of
fruitfulness. Gal 6:7 says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever
a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” In order words, you can easily tell
what kind of harvest you should be expecting going by the kind of seed you are
sowing. For example Matt 5:7 says blessed are the merciful for they shall
harvest mercy. The opposite of this means that cursed are the wicked for they
shall harvest wickedness.
Be wise when sowing. Shalom!
