When you trust someone, it doesn’t matter what the
person is doing, you have the mind that all is well. When you trust your
driver, you feel comfortable to sleep in the car as against when you do not
trust the driver, where you start fidgeting. Scripture says they that put their
trust in God shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water. In order
words, they shall have peace while Jer 17:5 says that cursed is the man that
put his trust in man. In order to experience God in a mighty way, you must be
able to trust God and God alone absolutely, come rain, and come shine even if
you can’t see anything changing.
The three Hebrew boys incurred the wrath of
Nebuchadnezzar by not bowing to his idol, as a result, the king made it clear
to them that their refusal was going to end them in the burning fiery furnace.
They refused to jitter. Their response is one of the most inspiring one in the
Bible.
As written in Daniel 13:17-18, the boys said “If it
be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery
furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it
known unto thee, O king that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden
image which thou hast set up.”
God is fully aware of your circumstances, as a
matter of fact he knew about them before you did, and before you asked or
prayed about it, He had already gone to work to answer you. God loves you too
much to leave you hanging. All he wants to know is if in spite of the
unexpected… the disappointment… the hurt… the frustration and discouragement…
do you still trust in the His love and sovereignty totally???…Especially when
it just does not make any sense…
Always remember that trust is the rail on which the
train of faith and hope travels
