Have you ever found yourself in a situation where
you are climbing the stair at night and suddenly light goes out? In that case,
you start climbing the stair anyhow. Sometimes you climb two stairs at once and
some other times, you even close your eyes and just climb anyhow without
minding anything – you just climb!
In the physical world, you need your sight to walk,
but in the spiritual world, you need your faith to walk and we all know that
the spiritual controls the physical. 2 Cor 5:7 says, “For we walk by faith, not
by sight.” Walking by faith is what makes a man clear his account just to
finance God’s business because he is assured that God will supply of his needs
not according to his salary or income, but according to God’s own riches in
glory through Christ. Walking by faith means “moving ahead in confidence, even
when you can’t see around the next corner.”
Abraham was asked to go sacrifice his only son,
however, on their way to the place of sacrifice, Isaac asked, “Behold the fire
and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” Abraham said, “God
will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering.” Before then, there was no
lamb discussion between Abraham and God, but when father Abraham kept walking
towards Moriah without a lamb, God knew He had to do something else Abraham
would have committed murder.
Walking by faith means doing away with the natural
sight and seeing with the eyes of your spirit. When you walk by faith, you are
assured of the truth that you are walking with Christ because He is the Author
and the Finisher of our faith and your gaze is fixed on Him alone. Sir, you are
in this world but not of this world, so stop walking by sight like the worldly
people do and start walking by faith.
Enjoy!
