It could be a frustrating thing to believe God for
the best yet experiencing the worst. Don’t get it twisted, it is not that God
cannot make happen what you are believing Him for, it is always a case of us
not activating our desires. Remember we said your faith is a product of your
belief system, in order words, you need to believe to have faith. However, many
of us stop at that level of belief and that’s why we wonder if the faith sermon
is a reality or just some kind of inspirational sermon.
In Matt 9, you would notice that Jesus said unto
them, “According to your faith be it unto you.” However, it was never mentioned
that they showed faith. All we could read is that they believed and then faith
made them whole. All Jesus was showing us is that believing is never enough. If
the blind men had stopped at the level of belief, they would have been so
frustrated that they would have thought Jesus was a fake prophet. But they also
took a step by coming to Jesus (verse 28b) which is what we usually call a step
of faith.
In Matt 14:27, the disciples believed Jesus when He
said to them “It is I” after they saw Him walking on the sea, but only Peter
acted His belief by taking that step of faith which is why the only person
asides Jesus who ever walked on the sea was Peter. Believing is like buying a
flight ticket, it will remain a piece of paper until you drive to the airport,
check-in and walk into the airplane.
The woman with the twelve years issue of blood
believed Jesus could heal but she went ahead to take a step of faith. As you
believe God for the best, take it to the next level by taking a step of faith
towards getting the best. Always remember that belief ignites the car, faith
moves the car.
