When going to war, there are various kinds of
weapons. Some would go with guns, some with swords, some with arrows, some with
cutlasses, some with grenades and some with knives. In all, the whole essence
is to see to it that they win the battle anyhow. The scripture says as
believers, “We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places,” (Eph 6:12). But one of the most dangerous
but rarely used weapon a believer has is faith.
Heb 11:33-35a says, “Who through faith subdued
kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of
lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of
weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies
of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again.” The scripture
says that with faith, we can tell mountains to shift and they will. Luke 1:45
says, “And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of
those things which were told her from the Lord.”
A man of faith is an unstoppable man. With just very
little faith, Apostle Peter was able to walk on the waters for some few moment.
David told Saul, “Sir, I am cocksure my God will bring down Goliath through me.”
The three Hebrew boys said, “We are over-sure that our God will deliver us.”
Faith is knowing that naturally it might not make sense or impossible, but soon
it will make sense. This is why it is very important that as believers, the
word of God must ever be before us day and night so we can make our ways prosperous
and have good success, because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word
of God.
The more of Jesus you know, the more your faith
grows, the more like Him you become, and the greater the works you do.
Keep soaring!
