THE GOLDEN RULE

June 30, 2014

In Matt 7:12, the scriptures says, “So, in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the law and the prophets.” (NIV) This is what we were taught as the golden rule. This rule serves as a perfect summary of the kind of righteousness the kingdom of heaven expects in respect to MAN’S RELATION TO MAN. It is very easy to be good to those who treat us right, but to treat those who treat us wrongly right is quite difficult, which is what Christ said we should do.

In Luke 23:34, when Jesus was been crucified wrongly, He still prayed for them that the Father should forgive them. You would agree with me that He had every power to call forth fire to consume all those treating Him wrongly, but the ministry of Christ is the ministry of love which is why the scripture says in Luke 6:35a that, “But love ye your enemies.” If you want to be loved, love your friends, families and enemies inclusive.

You are not a believer because you now speak in tongues only, you are a believer because you also treat people the way you want them treat you. Luke 6:28 says, “Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.” Someone would ask, why should I bless someone that is cursing me and pray for the one treating me like some piece of shit? You should because it is the commandment of the Lord and disobedience is like the sin of witchcraft.

Before you act or react, always ask yourself, “How would I feel if another person should treat me this same way?” Put yourself in the shoes of others and imagine what it would be like been treated despitefully. When you treat people with respect and honor, you will also be accorded respect and honor because whatever you sow, you shall reap.

Enjoy!

READING AND THINKING

June 29, 2014

One of the most impressed things upon my mind is the saying that, “Readers are leaders,” which I am sure you have heard it several times as well. Unfortunately, reading culture is fast becoming extinct, but I have discovered that, for those who take time out to read, the world is always rewarding them with the highest position on earth because in most cases, they end up knowing more and better than others.

In Daniel 9:2, Daniel said, “In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.” Daniel would have lacked understanding had he not opened some books. Someone said that if you want to hide something from a fool, put it in a book because he would never bother opening it. Sir, I have personally realized that the more you read, the better informed you become and the more respected you are.

As much as it is good to read, it is also advisable to think as you read. Always ask yourself, “How can I better my life with this information?” Reading without thinking of how to use what you have read is like spending five years learning how to climb a tree but never moving near a tree. Information accumulation (reading) without application (thinking of how to use the information) leads to knowledge constipation. Bishop Oyedepo said, “The man that cannot think will stink.”

Gen 1:28 documents God’s mandate for us to dominate the earth, but you won’t be able to dominate if you don’t know better and can’t think better. Develop yourself today, read wide and think more. Most importantly read the word of God and think upon them.

Have a fruitful week.

LIVE BY FAITH - 2

June 28, 2014

Faith is a supernatural virtue which disposes our natural intelligence and makes the journey of life interesting. I understand it is easy to live by faith when all things are going well; when the bills are paid on time; when the car is running well; when there are no crises, however, what happens when the going gets tough; when the month is just beginning and all accounts are red with no sight of any income coming in anytime soon; when suddenly a loved one is taken away from us. I mean times when our faith is tested.

Heb 10:38a says, “Now the just shall live by faith.” The people of the world live by sight, but the just shall live by faith. In order words, even though there is no physical sight of help coming my way, I am so certain that God is cooking up something for me because I am living by faith. Bible even says in Rom 14:23b that, “for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.”

One example of someone who lived by faith was Prophet Elijah who never was told to go hide by the brook Cherith. He could have asked God how would a raven bring food considering the  size of the raven, but because he was a man living by faith every moment of his life, it became quite easy for him to trust God despite the fact that it didn’t make sense.

Sir/ma, God will make a way where there seems to be no way, but it takes faith to walk the way. Living by faith is a command that we all must abide with if we truly want to enjoy the best of God because Heb 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Always remember that the currency of heaven is faith. Enjoy!

WALKING BY FAITH

June 27, 2014

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you are climbing the stair at night and suddenly light goes out? In that case, you start climbing the stair anyhow. Sometimes you climb two stairs at once and some other times, you even close your eyes and just climb anyhow without minding anything – you just climb!

In the physical world, you need your sight to walk, but in the spiritual world, you need your faith to walk and we all know that the spiritual controls the physical. 2 Cor 5:7 says, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” Walking by faith is what makes a man clear his account just to finance God’s business because he is assured that God will supply of his needs not according to his salary or income, but according to God’s own riches in glory through Christ. Walking by faith means “moving ahead in confidence, even when you can’t see around the next corner.”

Abraham was asked to go sacrifice his only son, however, on their way to the place of sacrifice, Isaac asked, “Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” Abraham said, “God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering.” Before then, there was no lamb discussion between Abraham and God, but when father Abraham kept walking towards Moriah without a lamb, God knew He had to do something else Abraham would have committed murder.

Walking by faith means doing away with the natural sight and seeing with the eyes of your spirit. When you walk by faith, you are assured of the truth that you are walking with Christ because He is the Author and the Finisher of our faith and your gaze is fixed on Him alone. Sir, you are in this world but not of this world, so stop walking by sight like the worldly people do and start walking by faith.

Enjoy!

BELIEVE GOD FOR THE BEST – 2

June 26, 2014

It could be a frustrating thing to believe God for the best yet experiencing the worst. Don’t get it twisted, it is not that God cannot make happen what you are believing Him for, it is always a case of us not activating our desires. Remember we said your faith is a product of your belief system, in order words, you need to believe to have faith. However, many of us stop at that level of belief and that’s why we wonder if the faith sermon is a reality or just some kind of inspirational sermon.

In Matt 9, you would notice that Jesus said unto them, “According to your faith be it unto you.” However, it was never mentioned that they showed faith. All we could read is that they believed and then faith made them whole. All Jesus was showing us is that believing is never enough. If the blind men had stopped at the level of belief, they would have been so frustrated that they would have thought Jesus was a fake prophet. But they also took a step by coming to Jesus (verse 28b) which is what we usually call a step of faith.

In Matt 14:27, the disciples believed Jesus when He said to them “It is I” after they saw Him walking on the sea, but only Peter acted His belief by taking that step of faith which is why the only person asides Jesus who ever walked on the sea was Peter. Believing is like buying a flight ticket, it will remain a piece of paper until you drive to the airport, check-in and walk into the airplane.

The woman with the twelve years issue of blood believed Jesus could heal but she went ahead to take a step of faith. As you believe God for the best, take it to the next level by taking a step of faith towards getting the best. Always remember that belief ignites the car, faith moves the car.

BELIEVE GOD FOR THE BEST

June 25, 2014

Our beliefs have tremendous power and influence in our lives. I tell people that we don’t always get what we deserve in life, but we usually get no more than we expect. The thing about this force of belief is that it works in the positive as it does in the negative as well. I understand that it could be hard to believe God for the best especially considering the situation of things in the world, but as a believer in Christ, you can believe God for the best.

In Matt 9:27, there were two blind men who heard that Jesus was in town. Immediately, their faith level rose and they must have thought, “Now that Jesus is around, He can make us see.” So they started following Jesus and shouting, “Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.” At a point, Jesus had to stop because of their cries. For a user of this devotional, your cry for help will get the attention of Jesus today and He will sort you out.

In verse 28, Jesus said unto them, “Believe ye that I am able to do this?” Jesus knew what those guys wanted, but He wanted to be sure they had the right level of faith, because whatever you don’t believe, you can never receive. The blind men answered with some great confidence and swag, “Yea, Lord.” When Jesus heard this, He only touched their eyes and said, “Be it unto you, according to your faith.”

If Jesus should say to you, “Be it unto you according to your faith,” what do you think you will get? Be careful what you believe. God is a present help in the times of trouble but you must do your part. God is set to do great and mighty things for you but it is all up to you. Believe God for the best. Believe Him for promotion. Believe Him for favor.

Always remember that your faith is a product of your belief system.

GOD CAN HANDLE IT

One wonderful attribute of God is that He has listening ears. Psa 94:9 says, “He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? He that formed the eye, shall he not see?”  Psalmist says in Psa 18:6 that “In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.”

I see people hurting and going through challenging times, yet they find it hard to just bring God into it. God is not only needed when you need money, food, spouse, job and all. God is needed and even interested in your feelings. He is interested in your emotions. He is interested in healing your heart of a terrible heartbreak. He is interested in helping you avoid temptation because His strength is made available in your weak state.

God can handle your emotions — he gave them to you, after all! He can handle your anger, doubt, fear, questions, grief, and even your complaints. Moses went to God to complain about the hardheartedness of Pharaoh. I am sure Moses was frustrated and tired, but because God can handle anything and everything, He sorted him out.

God says come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden. In order words, no matter how heavy your burden or pain is, take it all to God because He said, He will handle them. No pain is too much for God to bear, remember He bore the pain of the death of His son on the cross. His eyes were wide opened and He was seeing weaker vessels nailing His own son to the cross, but He bore the pain. So, your pain is so cheap for Him to handle. Your problem is too small for Him to crack.

No matter what you are going through, tell it to Him, He’ll fix it up for you, because He knows just what to do. .

Remain lifted.

DIVERTED BLESSINGS

June 23, 2014

Some years back, I applied for a position and all seemed fine until someone used his influence to give it to another person. It was a painful experience for me. I thought it was ordinary because the Bible says, “All things work together for good,” But I realized that sometimes such things aren’t normal because the plan of the devil is always to steal, kill and to destroy whereas God delights in our advancement.

We all know the story of Esau and Jacob in Genesis 27. Bible says Isaac was old and he intended blessing Esau because he was his firstborn. Isaac asked Esau to go make him venison for him to eat so and bless him before dying but Rebekah diverted that blessing and cunningly gave it to Jacob. As a result, Jacob became such a great man. I tell you, if Rebekah had not diverted that blessing, maybe we would be saying, “God of Abraham, Isaac and Esau.”

In Genesis 29, Jacob served Laban for seven years just so he could marry Rachel, however when it was time for Rachel to be handed over to him, Laban manipulated the whole scenario and gave him Leah. Laban told Jacob that it was done because Leah was the first born and the custom of the land was to have the first born marry before others. What Laban forgot was that Jacob knew Leah was the firstborn before proposing to Rachel and even Laban agreed to it but for a reason unknown, that arrangement was changed.

I need you to understand that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers, therefore you need to put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Be holy and develop a relationship with Jesus Christ and I pray that every plan of the devil to divert any of your blessings is hereby frustrated and disannulled in Jesus Name. Amen!

Blessed week ahead!

OPPORTUNITY IN ADVERSITY

June 22, 2014

Many times in our lives, we are faced with difficulties that sometimes makes us wonder if God is still on the throne, however, my discovery is that inbuilt in every adversity is a vast and unimaginable opportunity for progress, promotion, elevation and all. The bitter truth is that one man’s poison is another’s man dinner. One of my mentors would always say, “When faced with adversity, never ask why me, always ask, Lord, what is in it?”

When the children of Israel were faced with such a great adversity in person – Goliath, they were disturbed. Bible says in 1 Sam 17:11 that “When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.” It was such a terrible case that no one dared say a word to Goliath. However, it was an opportunity for David to climb the ladder of greatness. Bible says when the battle was over, more respect was accorded to David than to Saul.

Someone said adversity is actually man’s biggest and greatest opportunity. Henry David Thoreau said, “All misfortune is but a stepping stone to fortune.” It took a very terrible adversity in the form of famine for Joseph to become very wealthy. When others were complaining of hunger, he was busy selling foods in exchange for lands, money, material things etc.

No matter what you are going through, always understand that all things (adversity inclusive) works together for the good of those that love God and that are called according to His good and great purpose. As a matter of fact, Pro 24:10 says, “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.”

Always remember that little minds are tamed and subdued by adversity, but great minds rise above them. Times of great calamity and adversity have ever been productive of the greatest minds. The purest ore is produced from the hottest furnace.

You will not miss your time of opportunity in Jesus Name. Amen!

LIMITLESS GOD

June 21, 2014

One of the attributes of our God is that He is not limited by location, time or circumstances. However, it gets worrisome when people use their limited minds to limit the unlimited God. In the book of 2Kings4:1-7, a widow was at the verge of losing her two sons to creditors, so she cried out to Prophet Elisha for divine intervention.

The Prophet asked her to go borrow vessels from everywhere. She was told not to borrow a few. Of a truth, no one can say exactly how many vessels the woman borrowed but what she borrowed was enough to pay her debts and she had left over for her children and her to live on. If this woman had gotten more vessels, she would probably have gotten more money to start a business and even could have become the richest widow in that land.

Also, in the book of John 2, when Jesus turned water to wine, only six pots of water were turned to wine. The servants present at that wedding that day could have gone a step further to get more pots, maybe after the wedding; the groom would have become a wine dealer.

Sometimes as humans, we are so overwhelmed by the size of our problems that all we just so desire is a quick fix – “NOW HELP”. All the blind man (Bartimaeus) wanted at that point was just sight restoration. However, it would never have been a crime if he had asked for more things – a boat to start a business; a storehouse to keep smoked fish etc.

I want you to stop limiting God with your limited mind. He is the God with whom all things are possible. You can’t only be rich, you can also be wealthy. You can’t only have your own home, you can become a landlord. God wants you to not just have life but have it more abundantly.

So in all your thinking, asking and planning, remember He can do ALL things!

JEHOVAH SHAMMAH

June 20, 2014

There will be times when we wish there were people (family and friends) around to help. I am talking about lonely and deserted times that makes you just want to wish even having your enemy around to just lend hearing ears or a shoulder to lean on. Personally I have discovered that even though man might not be there for me always, there is a God that’s always availably present – Jehovah Shammah. I call Him the God that is Always there in the past, present and in the future.

The name Jehovah Shammah is God’s name that was used in Eze 48:35, “The distance around the entire city will be 6 miles. And from that day the name of the city will be, “The Lord is There.” In order words, you are not to be worried sick about what tomorrow holds because you know the One that holds tomorrow as written in Jer 29:11 that, “I know the plans that I have for you,” says the Lord, “they are the plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (NLT)

The word of God says in Psa 27:10 that even when your father and mother abandon you, never be worried because Jehovah Shammah will take you up. Why, because He is your keeper. If you read Psalm 139:1-end, you will realize that no matter what we are going through, The Lord is There with us. Are you going through a terrible trying time? The Lord is there. Are you scared and lonely? The Lord is There. The Lord is with us all the time.

All you need do is to just trust Him completely that He is Always There. Prov 30:5b says, “He is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.” Shadrack, Messack and Abednego trusted Him completely and He was there with them in the fiery furnace. Daniel trusted Him and He was with him in the lion’s den.

Sir/ma, relax, the LORD IS THERE FOR YOU!

IT’S NOT GOOD ENOUGH

How many times have you heard “That’s good enough?” or how many times have you said “That’s not a bad one, it’s good enough.” Some of us including myself say it a lot, but I have come to realize that it’s a statement that limits because Christ said He came so that we might have life, and that we might have it more abundantly.

Someone asked me why do I always say “I am doing better than good,” when asked, “How are you doing?” My response was, “Good enough is good, but better is better”.  Elisha understood the concept of not settling for good enough when he demanded for double portion of Elijah’s anointing. Good enough never stretches us to do anything more than we are doing right now, because this is good enough.

Philippians 3:14 says, “I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” To anyone that has ever participated in any type of competition you know that everyone does not get the prize. You have to decide that you want it and train for it. You have to stretch and go a little further, do a little more. Don’t allow the fear of failure or disappointment deter you from going for the better then the best.

Joel Osteen said, “You have let good enough to be good enough for long enough.” Don’t settle for anything less of God’s best. You are God’s best and you deserve nothing short of the best. I understand you are doing good presently, but believe me there is no crime in doing better than you are doing today. As much as driving is good, flying is better. As much as winning one soul is good, winning ten is better.

Always remember that everyone else is doing good, if you want to stand out, you need to be better than others.

INSIDE OUT

June 18, 2014

The outlook of a man is always a product of his “inlook”. In order words, a man is always a product of what goes on inside of him. Many times we think that the problem is the poor economic situation or low family background or little experience that’s always making us not see the fulfilment of our dreams. Personally I have discovered that problems, challenges, shortcomings and difficulties are global phenomena, however, it is not a problem that you have a problem, it becomes a problem when you allow your problem dictate your actions and reactions.

I do tell people that if the inside of a house is neat, most likely the outside will also be very neat, but if the inside is littered with junks, most likely, the outside will also be a junk yard. Prov 4:23 says, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” If there is a place that you should always tidy up on a per second basis, that’s your heart.

If an egg is broken by an outside force, life ends but if broken by an inside force, life begins. Friends, great things always begin from inside. So also miracles. The woman with the twelve years issue of blood worked her miracle from inside out. Bible says, she said in her heart, “If I may touch the hem of Jesus’ garment.” Because that was what she had inside her, it became quite easy for her to take that step of faith by touching Jesus’ garment which put a permanent end to her flow of blood.

You need to fill yourself up with faith, positive thoughts and great optimism, so that whenever you face a mountain-like problem, something on the inside of you would tell you that, “Even though this problem is big, my God is bigger.” Always remember that what goes on inside of you is key to determining what happens around you.

Shalom!

A.S.K.

June 17, 2014

Countless number of times, I have seen people suffering and going through trying times and when told to keep on praying, their response is always, “I have been praying all these while, so God knows already.” As much as I tend to agree with those people that God knows already, I also am from the school of thought that says that even though God knows already, you still have to keep talking about it.

Matt 7:7 says “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” (KJV) The New Living Translation puts it that, “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” Coincidentally ask, seek and knock command is an acronym for ASK which means God is very interested in you saying what you want.

James 4c: says, “You do not have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.” (NLT) To stress the importance of men opening their mouth to ask, Bible says when BLIND BARTIMAEUS saw Jesus, he started shouting, “Jesus, have mercy on me.” Some people told him, “Blind an, keep shut, he’s not hearing you,” yet the man kept shouting. Finally when Jesus’s attention shifted to him, the Master still asked him, “Blind man, what do you want?” Little wonder the scripture says in Num 14:28b, “As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very things I heard you say.” (NLT)

A Nigerian adage says, “He who keeps quiet, no one would get to know what is wrong with him.” You have a Father that answers by fire, so never ever keep quiet because you are tired of asking or it seems nothing is happening, keep on asking and seeking and knocking because one day someday soon, your prayers would receive the attention of heaven.

PERSISTENCE - 2

June 16, 2014

In Genesis 32 from verse 24, we read how Jacob wrestled with a man until the breaking of the day. I guess the fight must have lasted for more than eight hours. When the man saw that Jacob won’t give up, Bible says he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint. In order words, Jacob had dislocation which by my experience would have made the fight painful and uneasy for him, yet he didn’t give up.

At a point the man must have been tired when he said to Jacob, “Let me go, for the day breaketh.” Persistent Jacob answered, “I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.” At the end of the day, because Jacob refused to give up easily, Bible says his name was changed and he was labelled as the only man that fought an angel.

One of the areas where we ought to be very persistent is in the area of prayer. Jesus said in Luke 18:1 that men ought always to pray and not faint. Verse 2&3 says “There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.” This woman’s right was violated and she needed help but the judge wasn’t helping.

Verse 4 says after a while, he judge thought it within himself and said even though I do not fear God nor regard any man, but because this woman troubles me sore, I will fix her case. If the woman had given up after going to the judge one or two times, then she would never have had her case sorted. Now imagine if such a man could grant the woman’s request, how much more God!

Always remember that because it’s not happening or hasn’t happened does mean it won’t happen, so keep on holding on.

I KNOW WHO I AM - 2

June 15, 2014

Until you have the knowledge of who you truly are, you will never cease living like someone else. As a matter of fact, you will keep settling for less thinking that is the best life has to offer. Someone said that no matter how terrible the economy of a nation is, a lion will never be found grazing the field with a sheep. If you like, import coleslaw from anywhere, a lion will never descend so low to eat it.

Today, I have come to tell you that you are not just anybody, you are God’s handiwork. You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; created and formed that ye should shew forth the praises of God. Greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world. Sir, you are not a cheap commodity in the hands of God.

Maybe you don’t know, let me make it clear to you that you are God’s replica because you were formed in the image and likeness of God. You carry the gene of God on the inside of you, which means, if God can’t fail – you cannot fail, if God cannot lack – you cannot lack. However, I need you to know that you cannot know who you are until you know who made you. You cannot know how a new gadget operates until you read the manual or ask the maker.

A relationship with your Maker would help you understand your worth more than any man can tell you because the scripture says they that know their God shall be strong (no matter the situation) and shall do exploits (because theirs is a God of exploits). Elijah knew who he was when he asked that all the fake prophets of Baal should come prove their authenticity.

Do you know who you are? Always remember that the knowledge of who you are determines the value you place on your life.

IT’S MINE

June 14, 2014

Life is meant to be enjoyed and not endured, which is why the scripture says in John 10:10b, that I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. It’s God’s desire for you to live large on earth and He has equipped you to live that fantastic and glorious life. Sometimes ago, someone asked me, “How will you handle it when you become so prosperous?” I smiled and responded, “You cannot give me what is already mine.”

You can imagine someone asking the lion, “How would you handle being the king of the jungle?” I am sure the lion would smile and walk away because by default, the lion is the king of the jungle. Bible says in Psa 24:1 that, “The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” And Psa 115:16 says, “The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.” Sir, the earth is yours!

You are a ruler on earth. Wealth is yours, divine health is yours, favor is yours, honor is yours, promotion is yours, healing is yours, peace is yours. It’s not a political right, rather it is a birthright that no man can take away from you except you. It is not what would be, it is what is already. You might not see that it yet but I tell you it’s there. The fact that you cannot see the air in your car tire doesn’t mean it is not there, that you cannot see the hydrogen and oxygen combination in the water you drink doesn’t mean they are not there.

The fact that you are broke does not mean wealth is not available, the fact that you are sick doesn’t mean divine healing is a fallacy, all you need do is to start calling those things which be not (but you so desire) as though they were because death and life are in the power of the tongue.

WHAT CAN YOU SEE?

June 13, 2014

As much as what you think about and what you say with your mouth matters, what your eyes can see also matter in the realization of your dream because they are all linked together. Now that you have a renewed mind and an understanding that your tongue is loaded with power, I need you to know that your eyes are essential. They are not for watching movies alone, they are meant for seeing into the future. I have seen doctors who could guess a patient’s sickness by looking into the patient’s eyes.

For you to enter into your promised land, your eyes must be trained to see well. Because of the situation around us, some people have so much trained their eyes to see evil, scarcity, failure, destruction, miscarriage, poverty, joblessness, death and all sort of negative things, forgetting that what the eye sees, the mind broods over and that is what the spirit feeds on and in turn becomes what the soul experiences.

You can go far in life, only if you can see it. You can make it only if you can see it. Until you can form the picture in your mind and see it becoming a reality, it would be pretty difficult to enjoy life the way God designed it to be. Someone said, “You cannot feature in a future you cannot picture.” God told Abraham, “For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever.” Abraham saw well and now we are all called seeds of Abraham.

Always note that your eyes are key in the fulfillment of your destiny. If light flashes into your eyes unknowingly, your vision gets darkened for some seconds. If impurity enters into your life through your eyes, your journey in life gets shortened and affected. Stop seeing negativity, start seeing prosperity, promotion, longevity, fruitfulness because if you can see it, you can have it.

See you at the top!

WATCH WHAT YOU SAY – 2

June 12, 2014

It is generally said that to change the direction of a ship, we must take control of the rudder. The Bible also says to take charge of the home of a strong man, we must first bind him. I say to alter the course of our lives, in addition to watching what we think about, we must take control of our tongues. When we take control of our tongues, we take charge of our lives.

James 3:5-6 says our tongue could be a fire. It could ruin people’s reputations, or it could bless lives. What you say about your future and that of others is very important. Stop saying negative things. Start saying scriptural things. Use your tongue to shape your world. Use your tongue to say what you want to become in life. Heaven and earth came into being by spoken words. Everything that God created came into being after God spoke them into being.

In the book of Ezekiel 37 when the prophet found himself in the valley of dry bones, the dry bones remained dry as long as the prophet said they were dry and they became living souls the moment he said otherwise. Your words have power. In the spiritual world, they are containers of power, a storeroom of authority that can change your life, direct your future, and allow you get in line with the will of God for your life.

A popular saying has it that “Confession brings Possession”. In order for the Power of God to cause what God has promised you to manifest in the natural realm, you must speak or confess His word. That is why I urge you to think about what you are always thinking about because out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Prov 21:23 says, “He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity.” Your tongue carries power, don’t use it anyhow.

Shalom!

THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU’RE THINKING ABOUT

June 11, 2014

There was a research that revealed that the thought of having HIV kills more patients than the disease itself. Satan’s number one target is the area of thoughts. He knows if he can control how you think, he would be able to manipulate and control your entire life. I have said it before that our thoughts dictates our words and actions and attitudes and self-image. As a matter of reality thoughts determine destiny. That’s why the Bible warns us to guard our minds.

The scripture says in Prov 23:7 that, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” This is why those who keep dwelling on thoughts of failure and depression would always be depressed. Personally, I have come to discover that a man’s thought is the magnet through which the man attracts things into his life. Jesus said in John 16:33b that, “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” In order words, there would be fuel price hike, there would be war, troubles, famines, troublesome times, but the solution is our attitude which is a product of your thought.

Joshua and Caleb also saw the giants that the other ten spies saw, but they chose not to think about them. Caleb and Joshua started thinking about victory and victory they got while the other guys that thought they were grasshoppers became as grasshoppers. The first place to win every battle is in the mind. One of my grandfather’s friend, Henry Ford by name said, “If you think you can, you are right, if you think you can’t, you are right as well.” To be successful in life, your thought is vital.

Phil 4:8 rounds it up by saying, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
