In a children Sunday school class, the teacher asked
the student, “why did Moses and the rest of the children of Israel walked in the
desert for 40 years?” One tiny little boy stood up from nowhere and answered, “They
were proud, as that they didn't want to ask directions and look like freshmen.”
The man with the greatest peace, health and wealth
is that man that knows where he is going to in life. Direction in life is
vital. Without direction, confusion is inevitable. Without a clear and precise
description of where you are going to, frustration is inevitable. Someone said
that if you do not where you are going to, every other place seem like a good
place to go to.
I tell people that the fact that a young man that
wants to become a medical doctor and now moving about and relating with an
herbalist means he wants to become a doctor but not a medical doctor, rather a
native doctor. Where you are going to in life determines who you move with and
what you do with your time.
In Phil 3:13b - 14, Apostle Paul said, “But this one
thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto
those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the
high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” As for him, there was no time to waste going
about doing non value adding task, there was a place he needed to get to, and
as such he had to get serious about it.
To be great in life is to know where you are going
and the only person that can show you clearly where you are meant to go is God.
Proverbs 16:9 says, "A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD
directeth his steps" No matter who or what you want to become, commit it
to God andi see the world celebrating you pretty soon.
