March 11, 2014
On the morning of October 29, 2012, hundreds
of thousands of people in portions of the Caribbean and the Mid-Atlantic and
Northeastern United States faced their worst nightmare - “Superstorm Sandy.” Families
everywhere, especially in hard hit New Jersey and New York, were jolted out of
normalcy and the comfort and security of the homes and communities they once
knew.
I am sure some of them would have thought
that their world was ended, but because there is a God up there who never
forgets nor abandons His own people, He made strangers be of help to Superstorm
Sandy’s victims. Suddenly, the world arose and from various angles, help
started coming in for the victims of Superstorm Sandy.
In Isa 49, God's
people sat in darkness, they were hungry and thirsty, praying for deliverance
and comfort. Verse 14 says, “"But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me,
and my Lord hath forgotten me" Immediately God responded by saying, ““Can
a woman forget her nursing child, or show no compassion for the child of her
womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed
you on the palms of my hand.”
There is
nothing you are going through that God is not aware of. Don’t throw in the
towel yet, hang on a little more; God is working on your case. He is not a man
that can forget. The widow of Zarephath thought she was forgotten but God proved
to her that she wasn’t forgotten by sending the prophet to her home. God showed
Rachael that she wasn’t forgotten by opening her womb even when she least
expected.
You are not
forgotten. God has not forsaken thee. He has you written on the palms of His
hand! Your case is not closed yet. Your situation is not over yet. Your life is
not done with yet. God is working on your case. You are not forgotten because
He knows your name. Yes You!
