What we say with our mouth is as important as what
we do with our hands and legs. As a matter of fact, Prov 6:2 says, “Thou art
snared with the words of thy mouth; thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.”
In order words, your words determine your captor. Words are very important in
this journey of ours on planet earth.
In 2 Kings 7, a man of God made a decree that two
measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour for a shekel,
shall be tomorrow about this time in the gate of Samaria. Suddenly the Economic
Minister did some research and calculation and said, even if the LORD should
make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? Instead of him to have kept it
to himself, he used his words to earn himself untimely and undignified death.
In Num 13, when spies went to search out the land of
Canaan, ten of them came back and said with their own mouth, we cannot enter
that sweet land because they are stronger than us. At a point, they said they wished
they had remained and died in Egypt. This made God say in Num 14:23 that, “Surely
they (the other ten spies) shall not see the land which I sware unto their
fathers.” Your words determine your actions and what you get in return.
I know the economic situation of the world is not
sweet as they keep saying in the news, but does that affect you? The word of
God says God shall supply your needs (not your government) so while others in
the same nation that you reside are saying there is a casting down, you are
busy jumping about the street thanking God for lifting. Tell yourself, “Greater
is He that is in me than He that is in the world.”
I cancel every negative statement that you have
uttered and now working against your life by the sure mercies of Christ in
Jesus Name. Amen!
