In Malachi 3:10, we read “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse,
that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD
of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a
blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
It is one thing to pay tithe, it is another to pay if faithfully. Faithful
tithing is when you give God 10% of everything that God gives you. I am not
talking about your monthly salary alone, but this includes all blessings that
come into your hand. Don’t get me wrong, paying 10% of your monthly salary is
regular tithing, and paying 10% on everything that God gives you is faithful
tithing.
This means that when you are been given a pair of shoes as a gift, you
ought to tithe it. Someone just asked, but it is a gift and how do I tithe
such? Remember God did not say that you should bring tithe only on your monthly
salary, He said all the tithes. So value the pair of shoes and pay the tithe on
it, that way you are saying “God, the more You give me, the more You get in
return.”
As a matter of fact and duty, you ought to tithe your days, this means
that 2hrs 24mins of your time should be given back to God through studying His
word, fellowshipping with Him, praising Him and communicating with Him. When you
tithe your day, you are telling God, give me more days and they shall be yours.
Tell me, wont you live long?
In Gen 14:20 we read that Abraham gave tithes of all that God gave to
him. In Gen 28:22, Isaac said “and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely
give the tenth unto thee.” Because of that, Abraham and Isaac were blessed
beyond human comprehension.
Maybe you have been a regular tither all these while; it is high time
you stepped into another level of financial partnership with your maker by
becoming a faithful dogged tither by paying tithe on everything that enters
into your hand in the form of earning of gift.
As you do this, God will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he
shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her
fruit before the time in the field in Jesus Name. Amen!
