Two donkeys were strolling in Jerusalem few days
after Jesus had rode into the city on a donkey, when one of them said, “Just
yesterday I was passing here carrying Jesus and everyone was singing and I was
even stepping on their clothes…..and today, not even one of them recognizes me.
The second donkey smiled and looked at him for a while and then responded, “My
friend, in this world, you are nothing without Jesus.”
John 15:5 says, “I am the vine, ye are the branches:
He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for
without me ye can do nothing.” A life without Christ is a life filled with
crisis. Without fuel in the car, the car won’t move. Without Jesus in your
life, you would only be like a man fetching water from the ocean with a sieve.
Your effort would generate no result without Jesus.
Without Jesus in your business, you will only go
about in the act of busyness. Without Jesus involved in your academics, no
matter how hard you study, you would still end up a professional failure. Without
Jesus in your home, it would be a hell of a home. The moment Jesus entered
Peter’s boat, the same man that had toiled all night became a man that had to
call others to come help him gather harvests. The moment Jesus entered that
wedding hall in Cana, Galilee, new wine surfaced. When Jesus is involved in
your affairs, newness would be your portion.
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and
Savior, this is the time to do ` so,
because there are wonderful goodies in stock for you. Jesus wants to fight your
battles; He wants to make you great in life.
Without Christ, destruction, shame and reproach are inevitable. Surrender
your all to Him and He will give you His all. My prayer is that you will give
Jesus a chance to stay and grow in you in Jesus Name. Amen!
Happy Sunday!
