A believer is not a believer because he has a Christian
name or sleeps in the church, a believer is a believer because he lives by
faith. The ordinary man lives by sight while a believer lives by faith. When
the ordinary man has all the data to back up his theory that there would be
economic crisis, a believer knows that the time to make it big in life has just
surfaced.
Bible says the just shall live by faith, because,
without faith, it is impossible to please God. When you live by faith, you are
always optimistic because faith brings forth good results. In 1 Kings 18:41,
during a terrible season of famine and dryness, Elijah told Ahab, “Get thee up,
eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.” Ahab didn’t think
about it twice, he believed it and went away to eat and drink.
When you live by faith, you take steps beyond what
the ordinary man understands. Your actions would make people wonder if you were
in your right frame of mind. Someone said faith is taking the first step when
you can’t see the entire staircase. When you live by faith, you believe God for
the best things of life. Even when things are not going on as planned, you
remain strong and convinced that it would all work together for your own good.
I tell people that living by faith is clearly stated
in 2Kings 3:17 when the Bible says, “Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye
see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both
ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.” In order words, all symptoms and signs
might not show it is going to be fine, but relax, your latter shall be greater
than your former – just hold on firm to your faith in God.
Don’t allow physical signs and symptoms contaminate
your faith, because when men are cast down, faith says there is a lifting up.
Keep Shining!
