Without instruction, confusion and destruction is
inevitable. Isa 30:21 says, “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee,
saying, this is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and
when ye turn to the left.” Prov 14:12 says, “There is a way which seemeth right
unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” God is ready to
instruct us every minute of our lives, the problem with most human is that we
refuse to ask for instructions from God.
Some of us even prefer to go our own way so we can
do what we want to do when we want to do it. This has resulted into many people
getting lost and wasting their precious lives. Sir/ma, God will tell us the way
to go, but then we have to do the walking. He told Noah what to do, but Noah
did the building. He told Peter what to do, but Peter did the casting of the
net. He told Moses what to do, but Peter did the striking of the rock with the
rod.
Some of us already have an idea of what we want to
hear from God. So whenever God is telling us something, we do selective
hearing. We hear that which we want to hear not what He wants to tell us. Jonah already had an idea of what he wanted
to do, so when God was saying, “Go to Nineveh,” Jonah had already made up his
mind to go to Tarshish which almost led to the destruction of his life and
those he travelled with.
God is still in the business of talking to people,
but you must go to Him to hear. He would speak to you. Your job is to listen
before you proceed. Have you ever taken time to ask Him what He wants you to do
or where he wants you to be? Know that, “To be heard of men, be a God-hearer.”
Enjoy!
