PRAYER

February 28, 2014

Two fishermen were trapped in a storm in the middle of a lake. There was no rescue boat in sight neither were there other fishermen around to help them. One turned to the other and asked, “Should we say our final prayer of should we keep on rowing?” His wise companion looked at him, smiled and said, “Let’s do both.”

In 1 Sam 1, the story of Hannah was told. She was loved by her husband but she had no child.  One day, she got so tired of her state that she went to Shiloh to pray differently. Bible says the prayer was so different that a whole prophet who could discern thought she was drunk. The moment she finished praying, Bible says when she got home, her husband knew her and she conceived Samuel.

It is so sad that this is a microwave generation; fast food; fast cash; fast cars; and that is why we do fast prayers. Someone said do some deep praying so you will not find yourself in a deep hole. Martin Luther said, “The less I pray, the harder it gets; the more I pray, the better it gets.” Sir, it is impossible to be prayerful and still be pessimistic at the same time, because, you are assured that when you ask, you receive.

Bible says when Hannah finished praying, her countenance changed and that was the same day she conceived. Prayer is not the last option when all else have failed; NO. It is the first and the last thing you do at all times. Luke 18:1 says, “That men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” There is no better use of your time than to pray whenever you have an opportunity to do so; either alone or with others; while at work, while at rest, or while walking down the street. Anywhere!

Is there any particular situation you have been battling with, take it to God in prayer because prayer changes things.

THE GOD FACTOR

February 27, 2014

A scientist blurted out one day, “I don’t need God, and there is no difference between Him and myself.” He went to God and said, “God, I’d like to prove to you that I need you not. There is nothing you can do that I can’t. I can make eye balls; spare body parts etc.” God looked at him at him and said, “Ok, make man afresh from the dust of the earth.” Immediately, the scientist started gathering dusts.” God called him and said, “No, make your own dust.” The scientist unknowingly shouted, “Good God.”

Psa 3:6 says, “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Most times the reason why many projects fail is because we so much trust our own wisdom or we believe in the ability of our partners or family members, however, I have discovered that no one is nothing without God. Moses knew this very well which was why he said in Exo 33:15 that, “And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.”

Someone said that when God is involved in the race of a man, He surely must win that race. Psa 127:1 says, “Except the LORD builds the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” God is the one that gives unto man the power to be.

The God factor is the greatest factor – it is the influence of God that brings about our desired outcome. Nehemiah finished a wall that has been destroyed for years in 52 days – this was quite impossible with man but as written in Neh 6:16, “for they (the enemies of Nehemiah) perceived that this work was wrought of our God.” In order words, God was involved.

There must always be a God-factor in all we do else, we would end up failing. Never say, it was all ME! Who are you? It is all GOD!

DEVELOP THAT GIFT/TALENT

February 26, 2014

Most people suffer their major heart attack on Mondays between 8am and 9am because they have to go to a job they don’t like and as such they are dying gradually. There are some set of people whose slang on Fridays is – TGIF. This ought not to be. One of the most neglected areas in many lives is the area of gifts that God has placed within them.

In Matt 25, we all know the story of the talents. Bible says and unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several abilities. The one that got five traded with his and make 100% ROI, so also the one that got two talents, but the one that got one hid his own and as such, what he had was taken from him and he was cast away.

When we get to heaven, you won’t be asked how much you made for your employer, rather, how did you use the talents/gifts God deposited in you? It is so amazing how so many of us devote our entire lives to a field of endeavor or profession that has nothing to do with our inborn talents. Someone said that if you don’t do your own dream, someone else would employ you to do theirs – which is the case with most of us. We spend our days helping others reach their goals while abandoning ours.

There are people waiting to be affected by what God has deposited in you. Don’t allow any man take over the driver’s seat of your destiny. Don’t die an unlived life. Live a mark. Sir, Prov 18:16 says, “A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.” Facebook is a household name everywhere because Mark Zuckerberg did his dream. Choose today to exercise your unique, God-given, God-ordained talents. Salaries would make you rich; talents would make you wealthy and great. Be wise!

I look forward to seeing you at the next annual world CEOs forum.

DON’T CAVE IN

February 25, 2014

Many times when we are faced with challenges and difficulties, the most natural thing to do is to back out. For some people, that is the time to say, “If you can’t beat them, you join them.” However, I have a different opinion as I have realized that life obeys the persistent man/woman.

In Gen 32, 24-32, Jacob wrestled with a man over the night – that’s like 8 hours of non-stop battle. To make matters worse, Jacob’s thigh got out of joint which would have made movement uneasy for him, yet he kept singing, “I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.” Naturally, he should have surrendered because of his dislocated thigh but he knew that whoever keeps at it succeeds at it. As a result, his name was changed to Israel and on top, he got blessed by God.

There is an old saying that, “when fate throws a dagger at you, there are two ways to catch it; either by the blade or by the handle.” Catch the dagger by the blade and it may hurt you or even cut off your hand, but if you catch it by the handle, you can use it to fight your way through. When faced with a big obstacle, that’s not the time to start crying and wailing, that is the time to get your fighting spirit ready for battle.

What obstacle are you battling with and it seems it won’t go away, remember, Jericho as tall and strong as it was fell because of the persistent walk around it and the shout of Hallelujah, please I know holding on seems the most difficult thing to do, but remember that had Jacob let go, his name would never have been changed.

Don’t give up on your dream yet; don’t give up on that marriage; don’t give up on that career; there is a trophy to be won and it has your name engraved on it, so keep on keeping on. I look forward to receiving your celebration invitation.

WATCH WHAT YOU SAY – 2

February 24, 2014

A store boy was asked by an elderly lady, “Can I buy a half loaf of bread?” The boy walked to the Manager’s office, not realizing that the old lady followed him. He said to the manager, “Sir, can you imagine one old bag asking if she could buy a half loaf of bread?” The manager could not respond and this made the boy sense something strange.

The boy turned around and saw the elderly lady right behind him, quickly he added, “And there is this other fine old lady who would like to buy the other half.” The old lady who had already raised her walking stick up waiting for the boy to turn towards her and hit him on the head, smiled and walked away.

In the book of Ezekiel 37 when the prophet found himself in the valley of dry bones, the dry bones might never have become living souls, had the man of God not open his mouth to prophecy. Have you ever thought of why the doctor would ask you to stick out your tongue whenever you are not feeling well? Your tongue reveals what’s going on inside of you – both physically and spiritually. I tell people that the direction of their lives is set by the tongue.

Sometimes some of us jokingly say things like; “I am doomed,”  “foolish me” etc. whether we like it or not, believe it or not, those words are seeds, and seeds germinate. Consciously watch what you say. Stop cursing your wife. Stop saying negative things. Start saying scriptural things. Use your tongue to shape your world. Use your tongue to say what you want to become in life. Heaven and earth came into being by spoken words.

Someone said confession is the mother of possession, no wonder Romans 4:17 says, “Calling those things which be not as though they were.” You can change your world by changing your words... Remember, death and life are in the power of the tongue. Tame your tongue.

YOU ARE NOT AN ORDINARY MAN

February 23, 2014

In the book of Judges 6, Bible says that the Midianites prevailed against the Israelites so much that whenever the Israelites sowed and it was time to harvest, the Midianites would come and destroy their harvests.

When the time came for them to be rescued, an angel appeared to a young man by the name Gideon and said to him, “The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valor, you have been chosen to deliver Israel.” Immediately the man heard this, he got furious and replied, “Me, this small me, maybe you don’t know Lord, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.” He had so many reasons why he couldn’t become great.

Thank God for mercy, Gideon would have ended his life as a nobody. So many times we dream big but play it small because each time we want to launch out, there is something telling us that; my parents aren’t wealthy; I am not academically qualified; I do not have the right connection and as such we give up and die as ordinary men.

Today, I have just a message for you that – YOU ARE NOT AN ORDINARY MAN. Just like Gideon, I have come to inform you that it doesn’t matter where you were given birth to or who gave birth to you; you are not an ordinary man. You are not a nobody. Rom 8:19 says “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.”

The world is waiting for you to release that song; the world wants to read your book; men are eager to buy your inventions; kings want to hear you speak; sir, do away with fear of whatever and go manifest. Someone said that the graveyard is the most talented place as there are unsung songs, unwritten books and so many unfulfilled dreams lying there. May you not contribute to the richness of the graveyard.

Super Sunday Service!

WHAT DO YOU WANT?

February 22, 2014

A young man stopped a prophet who was known for never saying No, and said, “I want to go places. I want to get somewhere. How do I do it?” The prophet was interested in helping the man, so he said, “I really do want to help you but I need to know, where exactly do you want to go?” The young man replied after some minutes of silence, “Well, I really can’t tell for now, but I just want to go somewhere.” I am sure the young man is still on that same spot.

In the book of Matt 20:30-34, two blind men were following Jesus and asking for mercy. People were telling them to keep quiet but they wouldn’t. Finally their cry of mercy attracted Jesus’ attention, so He stopped. Ordinarily, one would expect that Jesus would just say, “Thine eyes be opened,” but He didn’t, rather, He asked, “What do you want?” I am sure some people would have said within themselves, “what else would blind men have wanted?”

But thank God those blind men were sensitive enough in asking and they received their sights. Many believers are going about the same mountain for years because they feel, “After all God knows what is wrong with me, so He should fix me.” You are right, God knows all, but remember He instructed us in Matt 7:7-8 that, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”

Your mouth is not to curse and abuse and gossip and talk heresies and fallacies, it is to be used in making your request known unto the Father through Jesus. So, I ask you, what do you want this day, week, month and year, why don’t you open your mouth and tell God those things? Remember Num 14:28 says, “As ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you.”

Have a refreshing weekend.

MOVE ON

February 21, 2014

At a speaking engagement on Valentine’s Day, I asked a young man if he could tell me what love meant. “Love is wicked,” was his response, all because the woman he was looking forward to settling down with, came one Friday (four years ago) to give him invitation card to her own wedding ceremony with another man. The brother said he felt and still feels like killing himself.

Many times things would happen that we least expect; employer would suddenly lay you off for no just reason; fiancée would just say “I quit” for no sane reason, and because of that, we automatically activate sad mode. However, I have realized that crying over spilled milk won’t bring it back; rather it would worsen the pain. You can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks, months or even years asking “why me?”... or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move on.

In 2 Samuel 12, because of the iniquity of David, God sent Nathan to tell David that the child Uriah’s wife bore for him would die. Despite all pleas, the boy died. Ordinarily, one would expect the king to pour ashes on his head and rent his clothes in pieces and organize a mourning ceremony but Bible says in verse 20-24 that he had his bath, anointed himself, changed his cloth, ate and worshipped God after which he laid with Bathsheba again and she bore him the greatest and wisest king that ever lived.

You must make a decision that you are going to move on. It won’t happen automatically. It is also not as easy as it sounds but you will have to rise up and say, ‘I don’t care how hard this is, I don’t care how disappointed I am, I don’t care what has happened, I don’t care how it happened, I don’t care why it happened to me, but whether the devil likes it or not I’m not going to let this get the best of me. I’m moving on with my life.

IF ONLY

February 20, 2014

Before now, after every speaking engagement, I would start agonizing inwardly over stupid things I had said or over clever things I didn’t say but ought to have said. I would start saying in my mind, “why didn’t I share this other perspective,” “if only I had said it this way…” Sometimes, hours later, I would still be playing the regrets in my mind. “If only” is a phrase that is so commonly used by all irrespective of age/color/gender/location.

However, the trouble with “if only” is that it doesn’t change anything. As a matter of fact, it keeps the person facing the wrong way and wasting time which results in loss of faith and enthusiasm. In John 11, where the Bible talks about the death of Lazarus, when Martha saw Jesus, she said, “Lord, if only you had come earlier, my brother would not have died.”

I thought she was going to end it like that as that might have been the end of Lazarus, but she realized that “if only” won’t generate any meaningful result so she quickly said, “But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.” Immediately Jesus heard that, He said it affirmatively, “Thy brother shall rise again,” and the man that has been dead for four days came back to life.

I don’t know for how many years “if only” has been your daily worship song. If only I was white; if only I was American; if only I was tall; if only…. Please shift your focus from what has happened to what is going to happen next. Brother Paul said in Php 3:13 that, “but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.”

As you go about this season, stop brooding over your regrets and mistakes, live again, try again, and press forward. Never get hung-up on “if only”, forget it and get ready for the next time. Enjoy!

CHANGE IS CONSTANT

February 19, 2014

Change, they say is constant. Change happens on a per second basis, especially considering the peculiarity of the human makeup, anything and anyone can change anytime. You and I know that the beauty of raw gold would only come out when it has changed to gold accessories.

Going through past records of how Jesus healed, it was common to hear, “Thy faith made thee whole,” or, “And he commanded the blind to see,” etc. However, Jesus changed the approach when a blind man was brought to Him in John 9. Bible says, “He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.”

I am so sure that the blind man would have wondered if Jesus knew what He was doing, but thank God he embraced the change and got his healing. In 2 Kings 5, Naaman would have remained a leper for life if not for the wisdom of his servant who embraced the change in the healing process prescribed by Elisha.

Change is necessary so life can be more meaningful and interesting. I have realized that when God wants to change a situation, it is not done in some magical way. He changes a person, and the changed person changes the situation. When God wanted to stop the persecution of His people in Damascus, He changed Saul to Paul.

Sometimes, all you need do to get more clients, make more profits, enjoy your marriage, attract the spouse of your dream, and get the job you so desire is to change your strategy. If the way you have been doing it all these while is yet to yield any meaningful result for you, then change is necessary; change of prayer life, spending habit, dress sense etc.

Someone said only a mad man keeps doing the same thing the same way expecting a different result. Don’t be too spiritual to embrace change; remember that people who refuse to embrace change gets changed and replaced.

BE APPRECIATIVE

February 18, 2014

Appreciation is vital. Though, many of us have been programmed to only see the bad side of life, however, an African proverb says that if a slave is appreciative for a gift given to him, he would get another.

This was what Jesus demonstrated in the book of Matt 14. Bible says that many people followed Him into the desert. Towards the evening, Jesus knew that these people would be hungry so He asked the disciples to get them what to eat. When Jesus heard that what was available was just five loaves of bread and two fishes, He didn’t fidget, He didn’t complain, He didn’t murmur, Bible says, He took the bread and the fishes, gave thanks and asked the disciples to share.

It remains a mystery till today how the bread and fishes were enough to feed five thousand men excluding women and children with twelve baskets full left. However, one clear thing is that, appreciation is one of the secrets of multiplication. Someone said whatever you don’t appreciate depreciates. I do not find it hard to know someone who would appreciate God from the way the person appreciates his/her fellow men. When a man appreciates his wife’s dress, the woman feels good and the man is assured of good meal throughout that day.

I know things are not going on as expected, but if you look at it very well; there are still things to appreciate God for. Bible says in all things give thanks. When you thank God for that small job, He will open the door for a bigger one. Jesus demonstrated this twice when He used seven loaves and some pieces of fish to feed another four thousand men in Matt 15.

You can never over appreciate God; some are dead; some have permanent beds in the hospital; some are going about eating from waste bins; why don’t you just go ahead and appreciate the keeper of life for not allowing the enemies make a mess of your life.

DARE TO BE DIFFERENT

February 17, 2014

We live in a world where it is not uncommon to hear, “I want to be like this person, I want to be like that person.” The black man wants to be like the white man. The short guy wants to be like the tall guy. The fat lady wants to be like the modelling-fit, flat tummy lady. Many people, in the course of wanting to be like another person have lost their own identities. This ought not to be so. Someone said the best you can be while trying to be like another person is second best.

Psa 139:14 says, “I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” That establishes the truth that God created you the way you are because that’s the best way you can become who He created you to become. It is not uncommon to hear interviewers ask, “Why do you think you are the best fit for this job?” In order words, what is different about you? Rom 12:2a says, “Be not conformed to this world.”

There is something different about you. There might be one million and one dark skinned or white skinned people in your community, but none of them can whistle, giggle, cry, smile or scream, laugh, write, sing or even fight exactly like you. As a matter of fact, no one on earth can cook burnt food exactly like you. You were made differently because that’s the you that the world needs. Value your difference. The world would have been a boring place if we were all alike.

Whatever or whoever you are, dare to be different. It was easy for Ahaziah to identify Elijah in 2 Kings 1 because Elijah’s style of ministry was different. It takes an understanding of your difference to make a difference here on earth. The only thing that would make clients patronize you is how different your service is compared to that of others. As you go about this week, dare to be different, dare to be you.

SOLUTION PROVIDER

February 16, 2014

There are various problems and challenges going on in the world today. I am sure you know of one or two problems in your community that everyone is always complaining of. Problems and challenges are opportunities needed for people to get promoted in life. In order words, the set of people that would become great and influential in life are those called solution provider.

Years back, telecommunication was through landlines. However, today, Nokia, Samsung, Tecno, etc. have all made life so easy by making available affordable phones and as such, these companies are making very juicy profits. Microsoft solved computer problem and today, they are doing good.

Looking at the ministry of Jesus while on earth, you would agree that He was a solution provider. Bible says in Acts 10:38 that Jesus went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil. As a result of that, multitudes followed Him everywhere He went. His fame spread abroad because He was known as a solution provider.

Sometimes ago, an employer told the employee, “I didn’t employ you because I like your face, I did because there is a problem which I need you to solve.” Solution providers are valuable people and they are never found saying “I am broke.” In this season, if you would like to become great, then you have to become a solution provider. People need solutions to their problems.

The Bible says in Matt 25:29 that, “For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.” That’s why poor people out of their penury still make rich people richer because the rich make affordable housing available for them. Problems aren’t to be dreaded, they are to be solved. I pray for you that the problem that you would solve and would catapult you to the top comes your way this season in Jesus Name. Amen!

WISDOM IS KEY

February 15, 2014

The story is told of a man travelling on a very lonely highway. Suddenly as with any mechanical device, his car wouldn’t start again just after about five minutes of stopping to ease himself. He had an appointment to catch up and was running late. Minutes later, he saw a towing van coming. “Hey, would you by any chance know of any mechanic around this area?” Luckily for him, there was a mechanic in the van.

“Open the bonnet sir.” Said the mechanic as he picked a spanner and hit the battery head and said, “Please start the engine sir.” The engine started. “Wow, thank you, how much is your bill?” Asked the man. “Well, I would do $100.” The man was surprised, “but you only hit something and didn’t even get dirty, and here you are charging $100?” The mechanic smiled, “Sir, I am charging you $10 for hitting the battery head and $90 for knowing where to hit.”

Someone said knowledge knows that tomato is a fruit, but wisdom does not put it in fruit salad. Wisdom is the ability to think and utilize knowledge, experience, understanding or common sense. Prov 4:7 says, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” King Solomon became the wealthiest king that ever lived not because he had the best of education or was the most hardworking man on earth as that time, but because he was very wise.

Ecc 9:15 says a man was poor but he delivered an entire city because he was wise. As you go about this year, please cherish wisdom. Be wise in dealing with your clients. Be wise in the area of your finances. As a believer, you are walking wisdom because Prov 2:7 says; “God layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous.” You are to be the go-to guy. You are to be a solution bank. I decree, you will be so wise that no man would be able to resist you in Jesus Name. Amen!

THE LAW OF HARVEST

February 14, 2014

A law is a universal phenomenon. Take for instance the law of motion that states that an object remains on the same spot unless an external force is applied to it. If you like, buy a 2014 Rolls Royce Phantom car, it would forever remain an artifact and not a motor vehicle until you start the engine and drive it. If you start the engine and you refuse to drive, the law states that you will forever remain static.

The same law that applies to the high also governs the low. The law of harvest states that whatsoever a man sows, he shall reap. It then means that only a fool sows corn and starts praying to reap rice. In the kingdom of God, the law of harvest is one of the laws that if well obeyed, you are on your way to the top.

Haman was the king’s right hand man. In the book of Esther, he started sowing evil. Bible says he went ahead to make gallows which would be used to hang Mordecai, but he had forgotten that Job 4:8 says, “They that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.” Haman ended up being hanged instead of Mordecai.

Many of us go about our daily lives asking for God’s mercy whereas we are wickedness in person. Prov 22:8 says, “He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity.” Many of us go about sowing discord among brethren forgetting that God hates such as stated in Prov 6:19. Gal 6:7 says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

As a matter of truth, the law of harvest states further that you reap more than you sow. Hos 8:7 says, “For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind.” What harvest are you expecting? Check the seed you are sowing. If you sow right, you will harvest right. If you sow righteousness, you will reap abundant life, if you sow iniquity, you will reap otherwise. Be wise!

NEVER EVER THINK FAILURE

February 13, 2014

A retired military officer by the name Colonel Sanders was 65 years old when he decided to start using his special recipe for frying chicken for sale. He didn’t have enough money so he approached few restaurants around his vicinity to have them employ him make his special chicken but they all told him, “That cannot sell here.”

This man kept on going about until he broke through and today, his establishment – KFC, is not only doing fine in America but also expanding into other parts of the world. Have you ever heard the word, “that can’t work?” Many people have been programmed into accepting that failure sometimes is inevitable. Well, I don’t care from what school of thought that’s gotten from, all I know is when God created you, He didn’t create a failure because Gen 1 says that everything that God made were good.

In 1 Sam 17, when David came out to fight Goliath, he didn’t for once think that he was going to fail. That’s why I wasn’t surprised that he killed Goliath. Bible says, they that know their God shall be strong and shall do exploits. As believers, remember as a man thinks, so is he, so if you think failure, you end up a failure. You shall not fail in Jesus Name. Amen!

Jesus said, greater works than He did shall we do. That then means that, greater success, greater victory, greater miracles and greater glory shall you enjoy. Friends, please do away with the mentality that one has to fail to succeed. Whose report do you believe? Others might have failed before succeeding, but you are to succeed 24/7/365.

Erase every thought of failure off your mind, because you are wired to succeed. Jesus didn’t and can’t fail, so why do you keep nursing that evil thought of failure? Don’t let the thought of failure cripple your destiny. Maybe you didn’t know before now, but I am come to tell you that YOU ARE A NOT A FAILURE.

LIFE IS NOT BORING

February 12, 2014

It is not strange to hear some people say, “I am bored,” “I am sick and tired of everything,” “I need something new to do.” On the other hand, there are some other set of people who would tell you, “Life is terrific,” “I feel really good,” “I am having the best time of my life.” Personally I know that life is not boring – it is a pretty fantastic and interesting place to be.

Active people, and those interested in everything going on in the world are most likely never to be bored. Someone said boredom is not a disease, it is a state of mind, no wonder, there is no drug to cure it. Life is only boring for people who do the same thing over and over and over again without any experience of freshness.

However, as believers, boredom is never to be mentioned by you. Studying the life of Jesus tells us that He had a swell time while here on planet earth. Bible says Jesus went about doing good, healing and delivering and preaching and saving from one city to another. There was never a dull moment in the ministry of Christ because it wasn’t monotonous.

In 2 Kings, Prophet Elisha was going from city to city raising the dead, feeding the poor and delivering the oppressed. When he died, ordinarily, you expect that a dead body automatically takes the form of boredom, but even Elisha’s corpse raised another dead man from the grave. You can avoid boredom all your life if you remain active and the only way to be active in life is when you are filled with hope that life is good.

Nick Vujicic is a motivational speaker and preacher without limbs who said, “I am having a swell time without limbs. I travel round the world, swim, dance and participate in sporting events.” So what about you? You have your hands and legs intact yet you keep crying, “I am bored.” Try something new today and boredom would vanish.

TAKE THE LIMIT OFF

Naturally, humans are limited. You want to travel to a particular country and due to visa denial, you are limited. You want to start a business but due to financial hardship, you cannot. Several limitations, however, I need your mind and spirit to cooperate with me this day in understanding that there is nothing called limitations except the one you create.

When the twelve spies went into the land of Canaan in Num 13, ten came back with a limited mind and said, “The land is filled giants and wicked people. As a matter of fact, we are like grasshoppers before them and because of that we cannot dare enter that land, else, they will strangle us and kill us and eat us.” Wow! This statement immediately erected a strong and high wall of limitation.

However, the remaining two spies understood that limitations exist not, so they got provoked. Bible says in Num 14:6 that they tore their clothes just to make the people understand that there was nothing called limitation. To cut the long story short, they successfully changed the mind of the children of Israel and they possessed the supposed land of giants.

Bible says the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. Hag 2:8 says the silver and the gold is the Lord’s. In 1 Chron 29:11b, Bible says, all that is in the heaven and on earth is the Lord’s. All things are possible to him that believes. If you believe there is limitation, you will be limited as to what you can become in life.

Sir, there is nothing you cannot become. In Gen 11, some men wanted to build a tower to reach heaven, they didn’t see it as impossible, if God had not stopped them, that building would have been a success. You can be prosperous. You can be great. You can lend to nations. You can rejoice always. You can travel round the world. Please take the limit off your mind and nothing shall limit you.

HELP HAS FINALLY COME

February 10, 2014

The world we live in now is a world of me, myself and I. Most people are not bothered about what others are going through, because in reality, they have their plates full already also. Some set of people do want to help but they are also handicapped in that they also need help. Little wonder why Psalms 60:11 says vain is the help of man.

In the book of John 5, Bible says there was a pool in Jerusalem called Bethesda. At a certain time, an angel would go down and stir the water. The moment the water gets stirred, it possessed healing virtue, however, the first person to step into that pool at that time would be the only one to receive his/her healing. I am sure it would be a very rough scene.

Among those waiting to be healed was a man with thirty eight years infirmity. At what age he got to the pool side? No one can tell. However, when Jesus saw this man and asked him if he wanted to be healed, he said, “I have no one to help me, whenever I want to step into the pool; someone else steps in there and gets healed.” Unknown to the man, HELP was standing before him.

Maybe you are like this man. You have been trying and aiming and working real hard to get a particular breakthrough, but yet, it seems no one is ready to help. Everyone just seems to be too busy to help. However, I am come to inform you that there is a God who can help millions at the same time without moving an inch – and you are receiving His help today in Jesus name.

Even people who come to help take care of a patient in the hospital slumber and sleep, but Psalm 121 says He is the only helper that doesn’t sleep nor slumber. When He helps you, He does it completely. Pray with me, “Lord, send me help from above in Jesus Name. Amen!”
