DO AWAY WITH ANGER

August 10, 2013

Do you know that for anyone that is aiming for the top, he/she has to do away with anger? I used to know someone who gets angry on a per second basis. Everything gets him angry. As a result of anger, he almost drove himself into an oncoming trailer. Since then, he became as gentle as a dove.

We let ourselves become angry over everything. Something goes wrong and then we get mad. Everything makes an angry person angry because anger is resident inside of him. Eph 4:31 says, “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice.”

Those who don’t get rid of anger may even die young. Anger is like a tea in a tea bag. The hotter the water, the more the flavor comes out.  I do tell people that if we need reasons to get angry, then the devil is an expert at that. Anger destroys. Moses was denied entry into the Promised Land because of anger. Anger robs one of great and mighty blessings.

“Henry, it is difficult not to get angry especially considering the kind of people I work with?” someone would say. Well, you have a point, but you also have to make choice to either be a fool or be wise. Remember, the Bible says anger lies in the bosom of fools. James 1:19-20 says, “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath (anger) of man worketh not the righteousness of God.”

Anger is one of the works of the flesh, and works of the flesh would only lead to hell where there would be weeping and gnashing of teeth. I urge you to start a 7 days “Anger Vacation” trip and I am sure that great and mighty testimonies you shall have in Jesus Name. Amen!

DOUBTING THOMAS

                                                                   August 9, 2013

Doubt for some of us is hereditary. You don’t have to learn it, it’s in us. We are so doubtful that we even doubt ourselves. Doubt emanates from lack of evidence. You will doubt the competence of a lawyer whose bio is not impressive.

In my few years on earth, and few experience in teaching, I have heard some people say, “Even God said the poor will never cease in the land, so I doubt if I am going to ever be rich in life.” “I am not so sure if God would heal everyone.” “I doubt the possibility of me getting marries cos good guys/ladies are scarce out there.” Listen, doubt will zap your strength. It will drain you out.

The reason why you are always doubtful is because you hardly study the word of God. If you would not spend time reading God’s instructions, then confusion would never be far from you. Great people are not the people with, “I am not sure,” “I wonder if this is going to end well,” kind of mentality. They are the people who believe that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all they ask or think, according to the power that worketh in them.

They are certain that God shall supply all their need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus and not by the economic report in the newspaper or the job cut happening around them. The moment you start accommodating doubt in your heart, fear sets in and failure enters. You can doubt me, but I beg you in Jesus Name, never doubt God. Num 23:19 says, “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”

Doubt negates faith and faith comes by hearing the word of God, so get in the habit of hearing and studying the word of God and I am sure that miracle that will make doubting God impossible for you will happen in Jesus Name. Amen!

SMALL THINKING IS DESTRUCTIVE

August 8, 2013

Have you ever heard any of these statements; “I am fine with just a home and a small car,” “A good paying job would really be my desire in life,” “If only God can just give me money to pay my phone bill.” A whole lot of us have limited God with our small minds. Let me set the foundation straight by quoting Mat 19:26 which says “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” And Mar 9:23 which says, “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”

Bible says the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. So why should you wish for a low life when the best life is meant to be your portion? Small thinkers are not at the top. The top is meant for great and big thinkers. Get out of the smallness and shake off the limitations. Isreal grieved God because they limited Him. Sir/ma, God has got big and mighty stuffs for us!

A popular book title says, “Think Big” That’s correct, think very big. Always have it have the back of your mind that all things are possible, so don’t limit the God of all possibility by your small thinking. Don’t just get by in life every day, be the best, eat the best, enjoy the best life has got to offer because you are a child of God and not just anyone. Can you imagine the son of the richest man in the world thinking if only his father could give him a 2003 model Toyota Camry when the father can afford to buy him a country?

Don’t limit El-Shaddai with a small mindset. Rev. Sam Adeyemi in his book, Success is who you are, said The thought of a man is the seed of his achievement. Prov 23:7 says, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Sometimes all you just have to do is change the way you think and your life will change completely.

REMOVE FEAR

August 7, 2013

One of the things that I see we all battle with is fear. Even the Apostles were fearful which was why Jesus said in Mat 8:26 says that “Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?” Someone said Fear is an acronym for False Evidence Appearing Real. You cannot afford to accommodate fear if truly you are heading for the top.

Fear is the opposite of faith and without faith, it is impossible to please God, and if we do not please God, then we end up in hell. Little wonder Rev 21:8 says “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

“Well, Henry, I am scared cos this illness is killing me.” Sir/ma, would your been fearful heal you? No! Only Jesus heals, so trust Him completely. “Henry, I am scared I won’t be picked for this job, because I don’t know anyone to push for me there.” Sir, you are wrong, because Bible says in Isa 55:5 that “Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.”

As a matter of truth, the Bible says that what you fear the most will come upon you, so be careful what fear you entertain. Remember, 2 Timothy 1:7 says that, God has not given you the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Sir, where did you get that fear? Help yourself and get the fear out your life. Refuse to be scared because the savior is in your boat. Isa 35:4 says, “Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.”

I pray that every spirit of fear will disappear this moment in Jesus Name. Amen!

CUT THE ROPE

August 6, 2013

When you are climbing a mountain, if one person is moving slowly, everyone else gets slowed down because there is a rope around all of you. If one person starts moving fast, you all begin to move at the same pace. Prov 13:20 says, “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”

Who are you rolling with? Let me ask you, is he/she a friend or a foe? A friend helps you become better in life while an enemy leads you astray. If his/her priorities are outside the will of God, and you call that person a friend, sir/ma, it is going to be hard for you to get far in life. Why? Our God is a God of relationship, as such, every relationship in our lives matter as well. Make sure you are building relationships with people who are going to where you are going.

Are you rolling with a gossip, a negative, complaining person? Is your own friend an expert in anger affairs? Maybe your own so called best friend is a cheat, drunkard or a fornicator? Or you have a friend in each category I have mentioned. My friend, if you want to become who God has created you to be, you have to find some new friends. 2 Cor 6:14 says, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”

You have to decide, are you going to the top or you are going to play around people who are not going there? “Ah! Henry, you mean I should cut off my best friend, we have been friends for ages?” Are you willing to sacrifice your life, destiny and future for someone who doesn’t care anything about the will of God? No matter who the person is, cut the rope now! I pray God gives you the grace and strength needed to break away from every demonic and destructive relationship around you in Jesus Name. Amen!

SHUT UP

August 5, 2013

During the military regime in Nigeria, Africa, a certain man was travelling in a bus from Lagos to another city. This man started telling people how the head of state as at then was a terrible person and all. Unknowing to this man, the people around him were mostly Army officers, instead of been taken to his destination, he was taken into the Army barrack. I am sure you and I know that by the time he would be released, his life would never have remained the same.

Pro 10:19 says, “In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.” Since then, I talk when it is necessary even though I find it very hard. Maybe you are the type that cannot but tell people your plans. Do you know that the reason why some of our plans are yet to come to fruition is because we have said it out to men and not to God. Prov 13:3 says “He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.”

I heard the story of a man that won scholarship to travel abroad and none of his family members got to know until the day he was meant to fly out. Why must you go about telling people your plans, no wonder some of those plans don’t come to pass. Why must you confide in a man rather than in God Almighty? My friends, I urge you today, caution your mouth, shut it up. A talkative soldier would unknowingly reveal the plan of his troop to the enemy.

Prov 18:7 says , “A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul,” because he cannot caution himself. Refuse to be a fool, control your mouth. If you cannot do without opening your mouth, then open your mouth and talk to your maker. Many glorious destinies have been buried because of unbridled tongue. My prayer for you is that your mouth will not ensnare you in Jesus Name. Amen!

GOD’S FAVORITES

August 4, 2013

Do you know that same way parents have favorites among their children is the same way God Almighty have favorites among His children. I remember how I used to see my father as taking my brother as his favorite as whatever that one does, goes down well with my father. He hardly sees any fault in what he does.

Cain went away from the presence of the Lord and God never bothered Himself about him, but same way, Jonah went away from the face of the Lord and God went after him. God told Lot and his wife not to look back else they become pillar of salt. Lot’s wife looked back and became a pillar of salt, but the same city that Lot’s wife looked at and became a pillar of salt was the same city Abraham was watching been burnt down and he never became a pillar of salt. Jacob was God’s favorite, he was dubious and tricky, yet God did not let him be.

Don’t be deceived, God has favorites. Rom 9:15 says, “For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” It is not a product of your works, Bible says in Eph 2:9 that “Not of works, lest any man should boast.” God’s favorites enjoy God’s blessings first hand. They hear firsthand information right from God’s throne. God’s favorites labor less and profit best. You begin to wonder, “Is he/she the only one?” Friends, it is a thing of joy to be God’s favorites. God treats you specially.

John 15:16a says, “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you.” To be God’s favorite is strictly God’s choice not a product of who you are or what you have done. Peter failed Jesus but he later became one of the greatest Apostles that ever lived. The condition of picking is not set by men but by God alone.

My prayer for someone today is that, among millions of choices, God Almighty will select you as His choice candidate in Jesus Name. Amen!

YOU ARE NOT WEAK

August 3, 2013

How many times have you told yourself that “I can’t do that.” Before now, I was a professional at saying such, but there was an event that changed my orientation about that. I went for a wedding engagement and the groom was like 50kg and the bride like 80kg. During the course of the ceremony, the groom was asked to carry the bride; all of us that were present wondered if the engager knew what she was doing. Asides the fact that the groomed weighed 50kg, to carry an empty 12.5kg gas cylinder was like lifting a car for him, but on this day he carried 50kg.

I wonder where a woman in the delivery room gets such energy to push a 5kg baby out of her. One moment she is seen crying and been wheeled into the delivery room, but the moment the doctor says “PUSH” she suddenly gets the energy that the Almighty has made available for such occasion to achieve that task. 2 Cor 12:9 says, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” The truth is that there is strength on the inside of you. There is nothing that you cannot do. There is no mountain too high for you to climb. There is no land too big for you dwell and possess. Phil 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

The reason why we feel we are weak is because we so much trust our strengths. Forget about your strength. Your strength is limited. 1Sam 2:9b says, “For by strength shall no man prevail.” In order words, if you think you are strong enough to go it alone, you are on your own. It is foolishness to go to battle with machetes when you have a father that has machine gun and who is ready to go battle on your behalf. Let your motto be I can do all things through Christ my strength.

From today, God’s strength is made available for you every moment of your life in Jesus Name. Amen!

NO MORE EXCUSE

August 2, 2013

There is a story in the book of John chapter 5 about the pool of Bethesda with five porches. Bible says in verse 4 that, “For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.”

At that pool was a man with thirty eight years of infirmity. Suddenly, the great healer – Jesus appeared at the pool and asked the man if he wanted to be healed. It was a Yes or No question, but this man just like every one of us said in verse 7, “Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.”

Majority of us are professionals at giving excuses for failure. We have one million and one reasons why we are not fit. Stop ruling yourself out of the game. Stop accepting the way it is. Many of us accept what we don’t want because we have excuses for not getting what we want.

“I am not from a royal family,” “if only my father was rich,” “I wish I knew a politician who would just give me a not to get employment in that establishment.” Sir/ma, listen to me, your help comes from the Lord and not from a man. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. Silver and gold belongs to our God. Honestly, you don’t have any excuse for failure. Wake up this moment and do away with that garment of excuse. Your color, age, stature, gender or origin is not an excuse.

Like I always say, if you refuse to fulfill your destiny because you think you have excuses, you deny many people the opportunity to fulfill theirs because destinies are tied to you. Jesus said that every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up; I decree that every seed of failure inside of you be rooted up and out completely in Jesus Name. Amen!

KNOW YOUR RIGHT – 3

August 1, 2013

The city of Grand Haven was having difficulty with skateboard traffic. Skateboarders were everywhere, weaving in and out and over walkers and drivers anywhere, anytime. So the city passed laws prohibiting skateboarding in public areas and then built a special skateboard park, complete with ramps and obstacles, and established an admission fee. But the young people were not happy. So it made the news. Interviewed by a TV reporter, one brash teen said, “It’s my right to skate board wherever I want, whenever I want.”

Unions strike because of rights; citizens rebel because of rights. Minorities and majorities shout it powerfully.

By the process of creation, and of course, recreation, we have undisputable rights because of our joint-heirship with Christ. If the enemy has denied you of these, you’ve got to fight back and claim your rights, however If you do not know your right, you will be fighting for nothing. Ignorance kills. It makes a man with all the food go hungry. It makes the son of a car dealer beg for seat in a taxi. It is a disease that denies a man his rights. Hosea 4:6a says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”

Divine healing is your right. Wealth is your birthright. Greatness is you in person. Fruitfulness is your other name. Access to the Father is your right through Christ. Divine favor is your right. All your rights are in the word of God which is why Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success,” so get digging so you can wisely demand for your rights.

What one right has the devil denied you of; health; favor or name it; demand for it using a verse of the Bible and I pray that heaven will release your rights at the right time in Jesus Name. Amen!

WAKE UP

July 31, 2013

I used to know of a guy who we used to tell should start sleeping for his country. This guy could sleep on waters. Sleep is good but too much of it is very bad. Prov 6:9-11 says, “How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.”

Isaiah 60:1 says, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.” The truth is that until you arise, the seed of greatness inside of you will remain dormant.
Wake up from thy sleep today. Do the needful. Bible says while men slept, the enemies came and sow tares among the wheat. Awake out of thy sleep o ye giant. Give life to your dreams and aspirations. That dream must not die. That plan must not go away like that. The world needs that project for it to become a better place.

Do you know that if you do not shine, many might not come to the knowledge of what Christ can do? Do not fail God. Do the right thing at the right time. Wake up. Sleeping is not just a state of lying down and closing the eyes, sleeping is a state of deadness of the mind, of the spirit and of the body. Get up and get moving.

Wake up from thy sleep. Listen, a time is coming when no one would be able to tell you to wake up, so do it by yourself now. Ecc 9:10 says, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.”

Whatever that is to be done should be done now, my prayer is that the bell inside of you will ring out by the power in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

FORSAKE SIN

July 30, 2013

There is a story of a man whose wife was having issues conceiving. They are great believers; active in the church but even after about six years of marriage there was no fruit of the womb. One day the brother was told that he has been accommodating sin in his life by not paying tithe accurately and regularly. He turned around instantly and became a rugged tither. Six months after the change of heart, the Lord heard their cry and the wife conceived. To prove that He is the God that gives double for past shames, He gave the couple a set of twins.

The Bibles says that our God is too holy to behold iniquity, which is why so many people keep battling with the same unpalatable situation because God cannot behold them. A friend of mine and I were sharing together recently and he said that act of sin would look like the sweetest to the sinner at the point of doing it, but the moment the person is done, that’s it.

Bible says that the wages of sin is death. I have heard so many people say that “I will sin, and ask for forgiveness later,” all because they feel, the death is not going to be instant, I am come to tell you that the wages of sin is not just physical death. Death is the absence of life in a thing, so the reward for engaging in sin could be marital, financial, spiritual, emotional, physical or mental death.

Sin is a destroyer of destiny. The reason why some of us are going about the same mountain for years is because we are still engaging in sin. Sin shortens the life of the sinner. However, no matter how destructive sin is, forgiveness destroys the power of sin faster and better. Stop living in sin; ask for forgiveness with your mouth. There is a colorful future out there for you, but sin dulls the brightness of your glory. As you ask for forgiveness this moment, everything you have lost to sin shall be restored unto you in double fold in Jesus Name. Amen!

VAIN IS THE HELP OF MAN

July 29, 2013

Few years ago, I had a pressing need and went to someone who I thought could help. He said, call me by so so time tomorrow so I can sort you out. When the by this time tomorrow came, he refused to pick his calls. I sent several SMSs but got no response. Have you ever been disappointed by men? Have you ever gone to someone for help and he says, “if only you had come like few minutes ago, I would have been able to help.”

Let me tell you the truth – VAIN IS THE HELP OF MAN. Twice the Psalmist said in Psalm 60:11 and 108:12 that vain is the help of man. However, many of us are professionals at making man our source of help, no wonder we get disappointed all the time. Jer 17: 5&6 says, “Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.”

Listen, the reason why some of us are still on the same spot is because our destiny is built around someone. Our one and only source of help is that rich uncle or brother. Let me disappoint you by saying that they cannot help you if God does not help you. Your only source of help is God. Bible says if the Lord does not build the house, the builder buildeth in vain.

Jer 33:3a says, “Call unto me and I will answer thee.” Quit the habit of calling a man the moment a need arises, call unto God because He is able to much more than you could ever think.

From today as written in Isa 65:24, I pray that before you call, God will answer; and while you are yet speaking, He will hear in Jesus Name. Amen!

SELF EXAMINATION

July 28, 2013

One of the easiest and the most convenient thing to do as humans is to criticize and judge those around us. I saw a movie recently about a marriage counselor who could tell what’s wrong with every marriage but her own home was tearing apart.

Matt 7:1-5 teaches us to do self-examination (spiritual checkup) for ourselves before doing for others. Verse 4 says, “Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?” Someone said that each time you point a judgmental finger at a person, four fingers are towards you. One thing I have come to understand as well is that judgmental people are most times those with a whole lot of skeletons in their wardrobes, so in order to appear real, they shift the spot light of  judgment towards another person.

When the harlot was brought to Jesus in John 8, He said, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” By the time Jesus lifted up His eyes to see who the accusers were, they were all gone away. Examine yourself. When last did you sit yourself down to examine your spiritual life and how well are you doing? Stop looking for the errors of others? You got one or more as well. Fix that!

Remember you will give account of your life someday. Don’t get busy examining others without examining yourself. Do some spiritual checkup. I am sure that some prayers are been delayed because some spiritual illnesses need to be diagnosed and treated.

As you take time out to examine yourself, everything limiting you would be revealed to you in Jesus Name. Amen!

FAITHFUL FATHER

July 27, 2013

Has it ever happened that you agreed on something with someone and when the time to fulfill comes, the person comes up with one excuse or the other? With my little experience on earth, I have come to conclude that humans do not have the capacity to be completely faithful; only God does.

When Joseph was in Egypt, he was having a swell time as the prime minister in that land. As a result of his post, Israelite’s were all having fun. With all that Joseph did for them in Egypt, I am sure you will agree with me that his generations yet unborn deserved to be celebrated, until the day another king came who did not know Joseph and that was the beginning of trouble.

God is not unjust and He is too faithful to forget His promises. He is too faithful to lie or repent of His words. Deut 7:9 says, “Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.”

God says what He means and means what He says and therefore does everything He says He will do. He does not forget, falter, or vacillate. If He says it, you can stake your life on it. He keeps every promise made. Have you taken time to dig out wonderful promises of God from His word, if you haven’t, I will suggest you do to avoid robbing yourself of the great benefits God has in stock for you.

Joyce Meyer said that being faithful is not doing something right once but doing something right over and over and over and over. Faithfulness is God’s name and as such, He keeps doing wonders over and over and over again. However, it is worthy of note that sin keeps God away because He is too holy to behold iniquity, so even though He is a faithful God, play your part by abstaining from sin.

My prayer is that God’s faithfulness upon you will never fade in Jesus Name. Amen!

WHO TOUCHED MY GARMENT?

July 26, 2013

In the book of Mark 5:30c, Jesus was among the crowd and asked, “Who touched my garment?” Honestly, each time I read this particular verse of the Bible, I laugh. You can imagine the crowd going out of Stadio San Siro after a football match and someone saying that, “Who touched my garment?” Doesn’t that sound somehow? In vs 31, the disciples must have gotten angry when Jesus asked that question that they answered, “And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?”

However, because Jesus knew that there was a particular touch that was different from every other touch. Imagine the Stadio San Siro scenario, and someone slapping you real hard from the back, that would make you turn around to see who did that.

The woman with the twelve years issue of blood in Mark 5: 25-34 was not the only sick person that touched Jesus; however her touch made Jesus felt that virtue has gone out of Him because she touched in faith. The woman knew Jesus could heal her, she knew if she could touch the hem of Jesus’ garment, she would be made whole, but she did not stop there, she went ahead and touch – that is faith.

I don’t care how many years you have been battling with that bitterness and uncomfortable situation. I don’t care for how many years you have been hearing “No vacancy.” I don’t care how many years you have been waiting on God for the fruit of the womb. All I want you to know is that it doesn’t take my God eternity to settle your case. All that is needed is just one step of faith.

Don’t stop at the belief stage, move up a bit and take a step of faith. Remember the Bible says that our faith can move mountains.

I pray that the step of faith to take to move to your next level, sweet Holy Spirit will reveal to you in Jesus Name. Amen!

VICTORY IS CERTAIN

July 25, 2013

Have you ever been part of a winning team? Victory is sweet, it makes everyone like you. Someone said rehearsal is never celebrated, only performance. Victory is enjoyable. I get thrilled each time I see football fans celebrate whenever the team they are supporting wins. Victory makes you energetic and creative.

1Jhn 5:4 says, “Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” To enjoy victory here on earth, you must belong to God, you must be a member of His team. The seven sons of Sceva would have had their names written in God’s Hall of Fame book had they belonged to the family of Jesus Christ. Some of us are church goers, some of us are workers, yet defeat is like our second names, all that is needed is just for you to hand over your life completely to Jesus and you will continually walk in victory.

The second thing that you have to do as we all read from 1 Jhn 5:4 is to also walk in victory by faith. Refuse to believe that shame and defeat is your portion. No! You were never made to suffer shame or defeat. Gen 1:28 says that God created you to be fruitful, to multiply, to replenish the earth, subdue it and dominate over everything. Hallelujah. Walk in the understanding that you are a born again child of God and your father has swallowed death up in victory, so no form of death is permitted within your camp.

Listen, you are not permitted to lose; it is a taboo for you to fail. The enemy is not permitted to exert upon you. You are a child of the most High God, so walk in that understanding and I pray that henceforth, men shall call you victorious in Jesus Name. Amen

PRAYER CHANGES THINGS

July 24, 2013

Sometimes you hear someone say; "We've done all we can. The only thing we can do now is pray." Sometimes, some of us pray only when we find ourselves at a crossroad. Prayer really should be our first resort rather than our last resort.

God is not oppressed or challenged by the size or degree of the problems we face. Our Lord’s power to help is just as potent in our modern times as He was in the era of the Old and New Testament. Hebrew 13:8 says He is the same yesterday, today and forever more. He is the unchanging changer. All you have to do to put Him into action as regards your case is to pray.

Prayer is mankind's most vital link with Almighty LORD God. It is, in fact, entering into His very presence with our requests, petitions and thanksgiving. Prayer is indeed the master key that opens the doors of Heaven and releases the power of God on this earth. In Luke 18, Jesus said men ought always to pray and not lose heart. Prayer is a constant talk with God. It is not just that which you do in the early hours of the morning, it is what you do every time and anytime. Prayer is the way we as believers communicate with the Supreme God.

Prayer makes available a whole lot of spiritual power to us. The more we talk with God, the more God will talk to us. When we pray to God, it makes available insight and understanding of God’s will for us. And the knowledge of God’s will, will help us in praying effectively. When you pray, God rains down help. When you pray, God releases blessings. When you pray, God gives you direction as to what to do.

The scripture says ye have not because ye ask not. Matt 7:7 says, ask and it shall be given unto thee. If you do not ask, you will never get. May every of your prayer requests receive speedy answers from above in Jesus Name. Amen!

FAITH FILLED WORDS

July 23, 2013

Recently, someone asked me if truly things are great each time I respond that they are great. I answered and said that I say what I want to see not what I am going through. Our words have creative power. With our words we can either bless our future or we can curse our future. If we are going to see God's best unfold in our lives, we have to stay on the offensive and speak words of victory. Listen, it's not enough to just think it and believe it. You have to give life to your faith by speaking it out.

Too often we cancel out our promises by speaking negative words. We should be determined that we are going to watch over what comes out of our mouth. No matter how long it's taking, or how it looks, we should keep declaring favor and faith over our situations. If you'll get in the habit of declaring favor and speaking faith filled words, you're going to see negative situations turn around.

Your mountains are going to turn into molehills. Hold fast the profession of your faith. Be amazed as God shows up in big ways in your life. When we speak God's Word, the moment His promises come out of your mouth, in the unseen realm, something happens. You may not see it for a week, a year, or even ten years, but that does not mean it's not going to happen.

The law of confession says that what you believe in your heart and say out your mouth is exactly what you will have in life. Mark 11:23 says that, “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”

Start speaking faith filled words and I know your story will change for the best in Jesus Name. Amen!

MOVE ON

July 22, 2013

How many times have you had to organize a pity party for yourself as a result one great and unexpected disappointment? At one point or the other in our lives, there has been that reason to just call our friends and have them start singing some pity choruses for us.

However, I have come to tell you that no matter what the situation or circumstance is, never ever organize a pity party. Jesus could have decided to have his disciples and followers pity him because he was going to die on the cross, but He never did that. He saw the cross and the crown of thorn and could have said, “why me? Woe unto me.” but He did not, instead He persevered. He moved on.

No matter what life throws at you, you must make a decision that you are going to move on. It won’t happen automatically. You will have to rise up and say, ‘I don’t care how hard this is, I don’t care how disappointed I am, I’m not going to let this get the best of me. I’m moving on with my life.’

The bible says no man can take your joy. That means no person can make you live with a negative attitude. No circumstance, no adversity can force you to live in despair. As Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of wheelchair-bound President Franklin D. Roosevelt, often said, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”

We may get knocked down on the outside, but the key to living in victory is to learn how to get up on the inside. Refuse to wear that garment of pity, Bible says rejoice always. It confuses the enemy when you rejoice despite what you are going through. It may be hard to do, but it is the best thing to do.

Get out of that Jacuzzi of pity and become a prisoner of hope knowing that your life is in His hands and a glorious and colorful future awaits you. Remember, no glory without a story, so stop pitying yourself and move on.

TAKE A STEP OF FAITH

July 21, 2013

In the book of Mark chapter 10 from verse 46 to 52, there is a story of a blind man named Bartimaeus. Just like the woman with the issue of blood, he has also heard about Jesus and what He could do. The moment he heard that Jesus of Nazareth was in town, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. Despite the rate at which people were asking him to keep quiet, he kept shouting and crying and screaming, “Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.”

When Jesus called him to His side, he asked him what he wanted. In order words, never assume God knows, that’s why you have a mouth. Use it to express yourself unto your God. In verse 52, Bible says And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole.” Can you imagine going to a doctor for malaria treatment and the doctor saying go back home, you are made whole. Maybe blind Bartimaeus was expecting Jesus to lay hands or legs on him, but Jesus did not do any of these, instead, He said unto him, gentleman, go away, you are healed. Bible says “And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.”

If Bartimaeus had not gone his way, he would have remained a blind man for the rest of his life.

When you believe God for a thing, it is like loading a gun with bullets and aiming the gun at a wild animal, the animal will not die automatically if you refuse to pull the trigger. The trigger of faith is works. Faith is more than believing. Faith is more than thinking, talking, or having convictions about Jesus. Faith is action. Faith is something you do. In fact, the Bible says in James 2:14, “If people say they have faith, but do nothing, their faith is worth nothing” (NCV).

My prayer is the step of faith necessary to launch you into your next level will be revealed unto you in Jesus Name. Amen!
