One of the things
that I see we all battle with is fear. Even the Apostles were fearful which was
why Jesus said in Mat 8:26 says that “Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?”
Someone said Fear is an acronym for False Evidence Appearing Real. You cannot
afford to accommodate fear if truly you are heading for the top.
Fear is the
opposite of faith and without faith, it is impossible to please God, and if we
do not please God, then we end up in hell. Little wonder Rev 21:8 says “But the
fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers,
and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake
which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
“Well, Henry,
I am scared cos this illness is killing me.” Sir/ma, would your been fearful
heal you? No! Only Jesus heals, so trust Him completely. “Henry, I am scared I won’t
be picked for this job, because I don’t know anyone to push for me there.” Sir,
you are wrong, because Bible says in Isa 55:5 that “Behold, thou shalt call a
nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto
thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath
glorified thee.”
As a matter
of truth, the Bible says that what you fear the most will come upon you, so be
careful what fear you entertain. Remember, 2 Timothy 1:7 says that, God has not
given you the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Sir,
where did you get that fear? Help yourself and get the fear out your life. Refuse
to be scared because the savior is in your boat. Isa 35:4 says, “Say to them that
are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with
vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.”
I pray that
every spirit of fear will disappear this moment in Jesus Name. Amen!
