DO AWAY WITH ANGER

Do you know that for anyone that is aiming for the top, he/she has to do away with anger? I used to know someone who gets angry on a per second basis. Everything gets him angry. As a result of anger, he almost drove himself into an oncoming trailer. Since then, he became as gentle as a dove.

We let ourselves become angry over everything. Something goes wrong and then we get mad. Everything makes an angry person angry because anger is resident inside of him. Eph 4:31 says, “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice.”

Those who don’t get rid of anger may even die young. Anger is like a tea in a tea bag. The hotter the water, the more the flavor comes out.  I do tell people that if we need reasons to get angry, then the devil is an expert at that. Anger destroys. Moses was denied entry into the Promised Land because of anger. Anger robs one of great and mighty blessings.

“Henry, it is difficult not to get angry especially considering the kind of people I work with?” someone would say. Well, you have a point, but you also have to make choice to either be a fool or be wise. Remember, the Bible says anger lies in the bosom of fools. James 1:19-20 says, “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath (anger) of man worketh not the righteousness of God.”

Anger is one of the works of the flesh, and works of the flesh would only lead to hell where there would be weeping and gnashing of teeth. I urge you to start a 7 days “Anger Vacation” trip and I am sure that great and mighty testimonies you shall have in Jesus Name. Amen!
