Has it ever
happened that you agreed on something with someone and when the time to fulfill
comes, the person comes up with one excuse or the other? With my little
experience on earth, I have come to conclude that humans do not have the
capacity to be completely faithful; only God does.
When Joseph
was in Egypt, he was having a swell time as the prime minister in that land. As
a result of his post, Israelite’s were all having fun. With all that Joseph did
for them in Egypt, I am sure you will agree with me that his generations yet unborn
deserved to be celebrated, until the day another king came who did not know
Joseph and that was the beginning of trouble.
God is not
unjust and He is too faithful to forget His promises. He is too faithful to lie
or repent of His words. Deut 7:9 says, “Know therefore that the LORD thy God,
he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that
love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.”
God says what
He means and means what He says and therefore does everything He says He will
do. He does not forget, falter, or vacillate. If He says it, you can stake your
life on it. He keeps every promise made. Have you taken time to dig out
wonderful promises of God from His word, if you haven’t, I will suggest you do
to avoid robbing yourself of the great benefits God has in stock for you.
Joyce Meyer
said that being faithful is not doing something right once but doing something
right over and over and over and over. Faithfulness is God’s name and as such,
He keeps doing wonders over and over and over again. However, it is worthy of
note that sin keeps God away because He is too holy to behold iniquity, so even
though He is a faithful God, play your part by abstaining from sin.
My prayer is
that God’s faithfulness upon you will never fade in Jesus Name. Amen!
