A young man went for an interview and was asked to
go use the office photocopier to make photocopies of his credentials and shred
some other documents. Out of confusion, he photocopied the documents meant to
be shredded and shredded his credentials. Sometimes we find ourselves in some
situations where it becomes very difficult to know what to do or where to turn
to.
Some people cannot do a day without studying what
their Zodiac sign is. They have forgotten that 1 Cor 14:33 says our God is not
the author of confusion, rather, He is the one that directs His children in the
way they ought to go.
In 1 Sam 30, when David and his men came back to
Ziklag and found their city on fire and family taken captive, they became so
confused and frustrated and didn’t know what to do. However, David understood
that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, so he went back to God in
verse 8 to ask, “Shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them?” Bible
says, “And God answered him and said, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them,
and without fail recover all.”
If you are new in a city and don’t know where you
are going and you are now asking, am sure you would get more confused. The Holy
Spirit is our guide into knowing what to do and where to turn to. However, it
is our job to ask. James 4:2c says, “Ye have not, because ye ask not.” If you
refuse to ask for direction from the Most High God, you will keep circling the
same mountain year in year out.
Are you in a state of confusion, listen God is
interested in your wellbeing and not delighted you are confused, so go to Him
now and ask for direction and I am sure thine ears shall hear a word behind
thee, saying, this is the way, walk ye in it.
Shalom!
