WAKE UP

July 31, 2013

I used to know of a guy who we used to tell should start sleeping for his country. This guy could sleep on waters. Sleep is good but too much of it is very bad. Prov 6:9-11 says, “How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.”

Isaiah 60:1 says, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.” The truth is that until you arise, the seed of greatness inside of you will remain dormant.
Wake up from thy sleep today. Do the needful. Bible says while men slept, the enemies came and sow tares among the wheat. Awake out of thy sleep o ye giant. Give life to your dreams and aspirations. That dream must not die. That plan must not go away like that. The world needs that project for it to become a better place.

Do you know that if you do not shine, many might not come to the knowledge of what Christ can do? Do not fail God. Do the right thing at the right time. Wake up. Sleeping is not just a state of lying down and closing the eyes, sleeping is a state of deadness of the mind, of the spirit and of the body. Get up and get moving.

Wake up from thy sleep. Listen, a time is coming when no one would be able to tell you to wake up, so do it by yourself now. Ecc 9:10 says, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.”

Whatever that is to be done should be done now, my prayer is that the bell inside of you will ring out by the power in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

FORSAKE SIN

July 30, 2013

There is a story of a man whose wife was having issues conceiving. They are great believers; active in the church but even after about six years of marriage there was no fruit of the womb. One day the brother was told that he has been accommodating sin in his life by not paying tithe accurately and regularly. He turned around instantly and became a rugged tither. Six months after the change of heart, the Lord heard their cry and the wife conceived. To prove that He is the God that gives double for past shames, He gave the couple a set of twins.

The Bibles says that our God is too holy to behold iniquity, which is why so many people keep battling with the same unpalatable situation because God cannot behold them. A friend of mine and I were sharing together recently and he said that act of sin would look like the sweetest to the sinner at the point of doing it, but the moment the person is done, that’s it.

Bible says that the wages of sin is death. I have heard so many people say that “I will sin, and ask for forgiveness later,” all because they feel, the death is not going to be instant, I am come to tell you that the wages of sin is not just physical death. Death is the absence of life in a thing, so the reward for engaging in sin could be marital, financial, spiritual, emotional, physical or mental death.

Sin is a destroyer of destiny. The reason why some of us are going about the same mountain for years is because we are still engaging in sin. Sin shortens the life of the sinner. However, no matter how destructive sin is, forgiveness destroys the power of sin faster and better. Stop living in sin; ask for forgiveness with your mouth. There is a colorful future out there for you, but sin dulls the brightness of your glory. As you ask for forgiveness this moment, everything you have lost to sin shall be restored unto you in double fold in Jesus Name. Amen!

VAIN IS THE HELP OF MAN

July 29, 2013

Few years ago, I had a pressing need and went to someone who I thought could help. He said, call me by so so time tomorrow so I can sort you out. When the by this time tomorrow came, he refused to pick his calls. I sent several SMSs but got no response. Have you ever been disappointed by men? Have you ever gone to someone for help and he says, “if only you had come like few minutes ago, I would have been able to help.”

Let me tell you the truth – VAIN IS THE HELP OF MAN. Twice the Psalmist said in Psalm 60:11 and 108:12 that vain is the help of man. However, many of us are professionals at making man our source of help, no wonder we get disappointed all the time. Jer 17: 5&6 says, “Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.”

Listen, the reason why some of us are still on the same spot is because our destiny is built around someone. Our one and only source of help is that rich uncle or brother. Let me disappoint you by saying that they cannot help you if God does not help you. Your only source of help is God. Bible says if the Lord does not build the house, the builder buildeth in vain.

Jer 33:3a says, “Call unto me and I will answer thee.” Quit the habit of calling a man the moment a need arises, call unto God because He is able to much more than you could ever think.

From today as written in Isa 65:24, I pray that before you call, God will answer; and while you are yet speaking, He will hear in Jesus Name. Amen!

SELF EXAMINATION

July 28, 2013

One of the easiest and the most convenient thing to do as humans is to criticize and judge those around us. I saw a movie recently about a marriage counselor who could tell what’s wrong with every marriage but her own home was tearing apart.

Matt 7:1-5 teaches us to do self-examination (spiritual checkup) for ourselves before doing for others. Verse 4 says, “Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?” Someone said that each time you point a judgmental finger at a person, four fingers are towards you. One thing I have come to understand as well is that judgmental people are most times those with a whole lot of skeletons in their wardrobes, so in order to appear real, they shift the spot light of  judgment towards another person.

When the harlot was brought to Jesus in John 8, He said, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” By the time Jesus lifted up His eyes to see who the accusers were, they were all gone away. Examine yourself. When last did you sit yourself down to examine your spiritual life and how well are you doing? Stop looking for the errors of others? You got one or more as well. Fix that!

Remember you will give account of your life someday. Don’t get busy examining others without examining yourself. Do some spiritual checkup. I am sure that some prayers are been delayed because some spiritual illnesses need to be diagnosed and treated.

As you take time out to examine yourself, everything limiting you would be revealed to you in Jesus Name. Amen!

FAITHFUL FATHER

July 27, 2013

Has it ever happened that you agreed on something with someone and when the time to fulfill comes, the person comes up with one excuse or the other? With my little experience on earth, I have come to conclude that humans do not have the capacity to be completely faithful; only God does.

When Joseph was in Egypt, he was having a swell time as the prime minister in that land. As a result of his post, Israelite’s were all having fun. With all that Joseph did for them in Egypt, I am sure you will agree with me that his generations yet unborn deserved to be celebrated, until the day another king came who did not know Joseph and that was the beginning of trouble.

God is not unjust and He is too faithful to forget His promises. He is too faithful to lie or repent of His words. Deut 7:9 says, “Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.”

God says what He means and means what He says and therefore does everything He says He will do. He does not forget, falter, or vacillate. If He says it, you can stake your life on it. He keeps every promise made. Have you taken time to dig out wonderful promises of God from His word, if you haven’t, I will suggest you do to avoid robbing yourself of the great benefits God has in stock for you.

Joyce Meyer said that being faithful is not doing something right once but doing something right over and over and over and over. Faithfulness is God’s name and as such, He keeps doing wonders over and over and over again. However, it is worthy of note that sin keeps God away because He is too holy to behold iniquity, so even though He is a faithful God, play your part by abstaining from sin.

My prayer is that God’s faithfulness upon you will never fade in Jesus Name. Amen!

WHO TOUCHED MY GARMENT?

July 26, 2013

In the book of Mark 5:30c, Jesus was among the crowd and asked, “Who touched my garment?” Honestly, each time I read this particular verse of the Bible, I laugh. You can imagine the crowd going out of Stadio San Siro after a football match and someone saying that, “Who touched my garment?” Doesn’t that sound somehow? In vs 31, the disciples must have gotten angry when Jesus asked that question that they answered, “And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?”

However, because Jesus knew that there was a particular touch that was different from every other touch. Imagine the Stadio San Siro scenario, and someone slapping you real hard from the back, that would make you turn around to see who did that.

The woman with the twelve years issue of blood in Mark 5: 25-34 was not the only sick person that touched Jesus; however her touch made Jesus felt that virtue has gone out of Him because she touched in faith. The woman knew Jesus could heal her, she knew if she could touch the hem of Jesus’ garment, she would be made whole, but she did not stop there, she went ahead and touch – that is faith.

I don’t care how many years you have been battling with that bitterness and uncomfortable situation. I don’t care for how many years you have been hearing “No vacancy.” I don’t care how many years you have been waiting on God for the fruit of the womb. All I want you to know is that it doesn’t take my God eternity to settle your case. All that is needed is just one step of faith.

Don’t stop at the belief stage, move up a bit and take a step of faith. Remember the Bible says that our faith can move mountains.

I pray that the step of faith to take to move to your next level, sweet Holy Spirit will reveal to you in Jesus Name. Amen!

VICTORY IS CERTAIN

July 25, 2013

Have you ever been part of a winning team? Victory is sweet, it makes everyone like you. Someone said rehearsal is never celebrated, only performance. Victory is enjoyable. I get thrilled each time I see football fans celebrate whenever the team they are supporting wins. Victory makes you energetic and creative.

1Jhn 5:4 says, “Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” To enjoy victory here on earth, you must belong to God, you must be a member of His team. The seven sons of Sceva would have had their names written in God’s Hall of Fame book had they belonged to the family of Jesus Christ. Some of us are church goers, some of us are workers, yet defeat is like our second names, all that is needed is just for you to hand over your life completely to Jesus and you will continually walk in victory.

The second thing that you have to do as we all read from 1 Jhn 5:4 is to also walk in victory by faith. Refuse to believe that shame and defeat is your portion. No! You were never made to suffer shame or defeat. Gen 1:28 says that God created you to be fruitful, to multiply, to replenish the earth, subdue it and dominate over everything. Hallelujah. Walk in the understanding that you are a born again child of God and your father has swallowed death up in victory, so no form of death is permitted within your camp.

Listen, you are not permitted to lose; it is a taboo for you to fail. The enemy is not permitted to exert upon you. You are a child of the most High God, so walk in that understanding and I pray that henceforth, men shall call you victorious in Jesus Name. Amen

PRAYER CHANGES THINGS

July 24, 2013

Sometimes you hear someone say; "We've done all we can. The only thing we can do now is pray." Sometimes, some of us pray only when we find ourselves at a crossroad. Prayer really should be our first resort rather than our last resort.

God is not oppressed or challenged by the size or degree of the problems we face. Our Lord’s power to help is just as potent in our modern times as He was in the era of the Old and New Testament. Hebrew 13:8 says He is the same yesterday, today and forever more. He is the unchanging changer. All you have to do to put Him into action as regards your case is to pray.

Prayer is mankind's most vital link with Almighty LORD God. It is, in fact, entering into His very presence with our requests, petitions and thanksgiving. Prayer is indeed the master key that opens the doors of Heaven and releases the power of God on this earth. In Luke 18, Jesus said men ought always to pray and not lose heart. Prayer is a constant talk with God. It is not just that which you do in the early hours of the morning, it is what you do every time and anytime. Prayer is the way we as believers communicate with the Supreme God.

Prayer makes available a whole lot of spiritual power to us. The more we talk with God, the more God will talk to us. When we pray to God, it makes available insight and understanding of God’s will for us. And the knowledge of God’s will, will help us in praying effectively. When you pray, God rains down help. When you pray, God releases blessings. When you pray, God gives you direction as to what to do.

The scripture says ye have not because ye ask not. Matt 7:7 says, ask and it shall be given unto thee. If you do not ask, you will never get. May every of your prayer requests receive speedy answers from above in Jesus Name. Amen!

FAITH FILLED WORDS

July 23, 2013

Recently, someone asked me if truly things are great each time I respond that they are great. I answered and said that I say what I want to see not what I am going through. Our words have creative power. With our words we can either bless our future or we can curse our future. If we are going to see God's best unfold in our lives, we have to stay on the offensive and speak words of victory. Listen, it's not enough to just think it and believe it. You have to give life to your faith by speaking it out.

Too often we cancel out our promises by speaking negative words. We should be determined that we are going to watch over what comes out of our mouth. No matter how long it's taking, or how it looks, we should keep declaring favor and faith over our situations. If you'll get in the habit of declaring favor and speaking faith filled words, you're going to see negative situations turn around.

Your mountains are going to turn into molehills. Hold fast the profession of your faith. Be amazed as God shows up in big ways in your life. When we speak God's Word, the moment His promises come out of your mouth, in the unseen realm, something happens. You may not see it for a week, a year, or even ten years, but that does not mean it's not going to happen.

The law of confession says that what you believe in your heart and say out your mouth is exactly what you will have in life. Mark 11:23 says that, “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”

Start speaking faith filled words and I know your story will change for the best in Jesus Name. Amen!

MOVE ON

July 22, 2013

How many times have you had to organize a pity party for yourself as a result one great and unexpected disappointment? At one point or the other in our lives, there has been that reason to just call our friends and have them start singing some pity choruses for us.

However, I have come to tell you that no matter what the situation or circumstance is, never ever organize a pity party. Jesus could have decided to have his disciples and followers pity him because he was going to die on the cross, but He never did that. He saw the cross and the crown of thorn and could have said, “why me? Woe unto me.” but He did not, instead He persevered. He moved on.

No matter what life throws at you, you must make a decision that you are going to move on. It won’t happen automatically. You will have to rise up and say, ‘I don’t care how hard this is, I don’t care how disappointed I am, I’m not going to let this get the best of me. I’m moving on with my life.’

The bible says no man can take your joy. That means no person can make you live with a negative attitude. No circumstance, no adversity can force you to live in despair. As Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of wheelchair-bound President Franklin D. Roosevelt, often said, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”

We may get knocked down on the outside, but the key to living in victory is to learn how to get up on the inside. Refuse to wear that garment of pity, Bible says rejoice always. It confuses the enemy when you rejoice despite what you are going through. It may be hard to do, but it is the best thing to do.

Get out of that Jacuzzi of pity and become a prisoner of hope knowing that your life is in His hands and a glorious and colorful future awaits you. Remember, no glory without a story, so stop pitying yourself and move on.

TAKE A STEP OF FAITH

July 21, 2013

In the book of Mark chapter 10 from verse 46 to 52, there is a story of a blind man named Bartimaeus. Just like the woman with the issue of blood, he has also heard about Jesus and what He could do. The moment he heard that Jesus of Nazareth was in town, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. Despite the rate at which people were asking him to keep quiet, he kept shouting and crying and screaming, “Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.”

When Jesus called him to His side, he asked him what he wanted. In order words, never assume God knows, that’s why you have a mouth. Use it to express yourself unto your God. In verse 52, Bible says And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole.” Can you imagine going to a doctor for malaria treatment and the doctor saying go back home, you are made whole. Maybe blind Bartimaeus was expecting Jesus to lay hands or legs on him, but Jesus did not do any of these, instead, He said unto him, gentleman, go away, you are healed. Bible says “And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.”

If Bartimaeus had not gone his way, he would have remained a blind man for the rest of his life.

When you believe God for a thing, it is like loading a gun with bullets and aiming the gun at a wild animal, the animal will not die automatically if you refuse to pull the trigger. The trigger of faith is works. Faith is more than believing. Faith is more than thinking, talking, or having convictions about Jesus. Faith is action. Faith is something you do. In fact, the Bible says in James 2:14, “If people say they have faith, but do nothing, their faith is worth nothing” (NCV).

My prayer is the step of faith necessary to launch you into your next level will be revealed unto you in Jesus Name. Amen!

HAVE FAITH

July 20, 2013

A man just got married and was returning home with his wife. They were crossing a lake in a boat, when suddenly a great storm arose. The man was a warrior, but the woman became very much afraid because it seemed almost hopeless:

The boat was small and the storm was really huge, and any moment they were going to be drowned. But the man sat silently, calm and quiet, as if nothing was happening. The woman was trembling and she said, “Are you not afraid ?”. This may be our last moment of life! It doesn’t seem that we will be able to reach the other shore. Only some miracle can save us; otherwise death is certain. Are you not afraid? Are you mad or something? Are you a stone or something?

The man laughed and took the sword out of its sheath. The woman was even more puzzled: What he was doing? Then he brought the naked sword close to the woman’s neck, so close that just a small gap was there, it was almost touching her neck. He said,” Are you afraid?” She started to laugh and said,” Why should I be afraid?, If the sword is in your hands, why I should be afraid? I know you love me.” He put the sword back and said, “this is my answer, I know God Loves me, and the storm is in His hands. SO WHATSOEVER IS GOING TO HAPPEN IS GOING TO BE GOOD because everything is in His hands and He cannot do anything wrong.”

In the natural realm, we exchange money for the things we want and need. But in the spiritual realm, faith is what we exchange. The Bible tells us that when we pray, if we have faith, we will receive what we pray for. Faith is heaven's currency. Faith moves mountains. Faith opens supernatural doors. Mark 11:22 says “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.” To please God, it requires faith. I pray that by His grace, you shall always live by faith in Jesus Name. Amen!

GOD HAS A SPECIAL PLAN FOR YOU

July 19, 2013

A certain evangelist's wife died, and when he had to be away in meetings, he hired a babysitter to take care of his two sons. Whenever he had been away, he would always bring them a gift when he arrived back home. One day, however, he came home and had forgotten to buy the boys a gift. When they asked for their presents, the father told them that he would take them to the store and that they could have whatever they wanted. When they arrived, the first thing they saw was the candy counter. They decided they wanted to buy candy. Their father said, "Let's look around a little more first." Then, they went to the toy department and saw some cowboy suits, complete with guns, hats, ropes, etc. They both yelled, "This is what we want!" Their father replied, "Let's just look around a little first."

So they continued to shop and as they did, they spotted 2 brand new 10 speed bicycles against the back wall. Their father saw what they were looking at and said, "How would you like to have those bikes?" Those 2 boys left that store with far more than they bargained for because their father refused to let them settle for less that his best. You see, he had intended to buy the bikes all along! Those 2 boys thought candy would be wonderful, but their father had something far more wonderful in mind.

So it is with the Lord, He has plans for us that we can never ever imagine. Isaiah 55:9, says “For as the heaven are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” We see things and formulate plans that we think would be wonderful, but God has something far more special for us than we could ever imagine.
So, keep dreaming, keep trusting, keep serving because God is preparing a great victory for you to enjoy. He truly has something special for you and His plans for your life shall come to pass in Jesus Name. Amen!

YOU ARE UNIQUE

                                                                     July 18, 2013

Have you ever found yourself standing in the middle of a crowd? You look around, and you can't see anyone you know ... and you're sure that no one in that crowd knows you. You've had that feeling, haven't you? When you're standing in the middle of that crowd you have a strong feeling that no one even knows you exist. And just at that moment you probably also feel like there's nothing special about you at all. You're just another person ... another face in the crowd.

Well, that's not an unusual feeling to have. You're not the first person to feel that way. But you're wrong. I can guarantee it. You're not just another face in the crowd. You are unique ... you are special ... there is no one else in the entire world exactly like you.

Nick Vujicic (the limbless motivational speaker and preacher) is thankful to have been born 30 years ago with no arms and no legs. That he was limbless made him unique. I have a friend whose laughter makes people turn their heads. That makes him a unique person because there is no two people on earth who can laugh the same way he laughs. Even if there is someone that laughs like him, I am sure the person doesn’t sneeze the way he does.

Psalm 139:14 says, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” Of all the people who have come and gone on the earth, since the beginning of time, not ONE of them is like YOU! No one prays about exactly the same concerns as you do.

See it! Receive it! Let it tickle you! Let it inform you and nudge you and inspire you! YOU ARE UNIQUE! YOU ARE NOT COMMON. YOU ARE PRICELESS. YOU ARE FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE. YOU ARE NOT A CHEAP COMMODITY. YOU ARE NOT JUST ANYONE, YOU ARE YOU. CHERISH THAT. CARRY YOURSELF WITH AN UNDERSTANDING THAT YOU ARE ROYALTY IN PERSON.

Father, help me to value my uniqueness in Jesus Name. Amen!

GOD IS NOT DONE WITH YOU YET

                                                                    July 17, 2013

Have you ever wondered why on earth you are still alive? Have you ever wondered when it is going to be your turn to rejoice? Phil 1:6 says, “He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the Day of Jesus”.

I want you to know that God finishes what He started. He did not bring you this far to leave you on your own. If your assignment on earth is finished, then you won’t be reading this because you would have gone back to report to Him. No matter what life brings us remember this: God doesn’t change his mind and sure doesn’t make mistakes. If He said it, it shall come to pass.

It’s not our strength that keeps us, but it’s the power of God that keeps us going. So the next time you feel like throwing in the towel, know that Jesus will step in on time and give you strength. Remember that when facing trials, it’s God that is going to work it out. We are not responsible for saving ourselves, that’s God’s job. He will see you through every trial or battle. After all God is the one who designed, planned and predestined everything about you.

In spite of what others may say or call you, know that God is not done molding you yet.
There are new levels and new heights that God has prepared for you, there are great feats to achieve for God but you have to be patient, it takes time to create a masterpiece. So continue to read and study God’s word. I do tell people that the reason why you are still alive is because God is not done with you yet.

God never ever starts something and not finish it. He will not abandon you. He will not leave you helpless because you are His handiwork. May God continue to meet your needs according to His riches in glory in Jesus Name. Amen!

STAY CONNECTED

July 16, 2013

The only way you can keep having government electricity in your home is to be connected to the grid. The moment your connection is lost, electricity goes off. In this our tech age, without an active internet data on your device, it would be impossible to stay connected to the internet.

Sometimes even with active data bundle on your device, because of some issues, there would still be connection error, so the best connection is to stay connected to God, however, sometimes because of the worries and stresses, we find it hard to keep our eyes on Jesus and just get distracted. I understand that very well. When you look at the bill to be paid, you would want to wake up earlier than every other person.

To reduce stress and worry, Jhn 15:4 says, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.” Your struggles in life would yield zero result without Jesus. Verse 7 says, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”

Staying connected gives you life, Jhn 1:4 says, “In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” When you stay connected to Christ, you bear fruit, you will have eternal life and your desires would be released unto you. A bulb would remain useless until plugged into a power source. Your life would yield no result until you get and stay connected to Jesus.

To stay connected, always read your daily manual which is the word of God and fellowship with Him every time. Memorize one new verse of the Bible today and see how your day would go.

Father, help me to stay connected to You in Jesus Name. Amen!

YOUR MIRACLE IS ON THE WAY – 2

July 15, 2013

How many times have you said, “All I need now is just a miracle.” I have said that countless number of times. Sometimes we want magic but we call it miracle. Let me point it our pretty clear that God is not a magician; He is a miracle working God like some of us have thought and some of us still do.

Miracle is not a DHL parcel that you get while sitting down at home. Miracle is provoked. Most times when you ask God for a miracle, He gives you an instruction to follow. It becomes your choice whether to do as you have been told or not, which is where so many of us get frustrated thinking God is weak. Please if you do not know this before; let me tell you that GOD IS ABLE TO DO ALL THINGS.

The falling down of the wall of Jericho which we all talk about today was a big miracle, but let us not forget that before the wall fell down, something was done. They were asked to walk around the wall seven days in a row and seven times on Sunday. When wine ran out at the wedding in Cana, Galilee, Jesus’ mother told the servants around, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it, in order words, if you want to see a miracle today, you would have to follow his instruction.

Jesus said fill the waterpots with water. I am sure the servants were wondering, “C’mon man, we need wine not water,” but because they understood that obedience is the mother of miracle, they obeyed without complain and Jesus turned water to wine. Our miracles are tied to an act of obedience. Abraham obeyed and he became the father of many nations.

I pray that what to do to have that miracle parcel delivered to you, sweet Holy Spirit will reveal unto you in Jesus Name. Amen!

YOUR MIRACLE IS ON THE WAY

July 14, 2013

A man of God once said that miracles pass us by every day. Jdg 6:13 “And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? And where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? But now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.”

Wikipedia defines miracle as an event nor ascribed to human power or the laws of nature and consequently attributed to a supernatural power. Water turning to wine was a miracle. Money in the mouth of a fish was a miracle. Raven been used to feed human was a miracle. Ninety year old Sarah giving birth to a baby was a miracle. A miracle is when one plus one equals one thousand.

God is still in the business of miracles. He is a miracle working God. It is not a miracle when a three year old talks, it is a miracle when a 3 day old talks. A miracle is what you cannot explain. The blind man said, once I was blind, now I can see. He could not tell how it happened. That’s what a miracle is.

A whole lot of people are wondering if truly miracles still exist. Some of us are like Gideon asking God when we are going to experience our own miracles. I am come to tell you that of a truth, miracles still happen; however, we all need to understand that miracles don’t just happen; they are provoked by the act of total cooperation with El-Shaddai.

All things are possible. Healing is coming your way. Mouth opening breakthrough is coming your way. Net breaking harvest is coming your way. Unquantifiable miracle is coming your way. Welcome to your season of ceaseless miracles. Welcome to the season where you begin to enjoy the miracle working God like no other in Jesus Name. Amen!

GOOD ENOUGH IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH

July 13, 2013

How many times have you heard “that’s good enough?” or how many times have you said “that’s not a bad one, its good enough.” Some of us including myself say it a lot, but I have come to realize that it’s a statement that limits. Joh 10:10 says, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Jesus could have settled for feeding the multitude or being a priest in the temple. He could have even decided to just be a healer, but those were both things, but they did not cause Him to reach His ultimate purpose, the thing God created Him to do. They were not the best of him. He was purposed or sent to be the savior of the world not to feed a bunch of people or preach some earth moving sermons.
Good enough never stretches us to do anything more than we are doing right now, because this is good enough. Philippians 3:14 says, “I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” To anyone that has ever participated in any type of competition you know that everyone does not get the prize. You have to decide that you want it and train for it. You have to stretch and go a little further, do a little more.

You have let good enough to be good enough for long enough – Joel Osteen.

It’s not over until God says it is. Get your fire back on. It’s time to pack up and quit the wilderness of fear, mediocrity, procrastination, and littleness. Nations are on the inside of you.  Don’t settle for anything less of God’s best. You are God’s best and you deserve nothing short of the best and that you shall have in Jesus Name. Amen!

MIGHTY GOD

July 12, 2013

There is a story about passengers who were on a ship in a severe storm and in imminent danger of sinking. The passengers were whispering "Are we going down? Are we safe?" One passenger said, "I've got to find out," so he made his way topside across the heaving decks, to the pilot house, where the pilot of the ship had his hand firmly on the wheel. The pilot turned and saw the fear in the passenger's face and just smiled at him, not even speaking a word.

On arriving below the once fearful passenger exclaimed "We're going be all right. I've seen the face of the pilot, and he smiled at me."  What we need to do when we are crippled by fear caused by difficult circumstances is look away from the "stormy waves" and into the serene face of our Jesus, our MIGHTY GOD, the One Who is always mighty to save. We need to see the reassuring smile of our Savior Who alone is able to calm the storms simply by speaking these words to our heart - "Peace, be still!"

How difficult is your difficulty? How challenging are your challenges? The Name MIGHTY GOD begs the question - "Is anything too difficult for the LORD?" (Gen 18:14) Jeremiah 32:17 says, “Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.”

Ephesians 3:20 makes us know that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we may ask or think, according to the power that works in us.  This is one of the greatest and most powerful verses in the Bible as it is a verse of assurance that God is the only able God. He is the Almighty God. The one that parted the red sea; brought water from the rock; turned water to wine; calmed the raging storm and a whole lot He has done and can still do.

May the Almighty God prove Himself mighty in your situation and life in Jesus Name. Amen!

WHAT CAN YOU SEE?

July 11, 2013

I remember the time I used to fall sick and the doctor would always look into my eyes. I used to wonder what he was looking for because I wasn’t complaining of eye defect but of fever. I later realized that it is possible to know if a patient has enough blood in his system by mere looking into his/her eyes. Friends, the truth is this, if your eyes are not seeing well, your journey in life might not go well.

If all you see is sickness, poverty, lack, want, disappointment and all, and you expect to experience wealth, health, abundance and favor, then you must be joking. Your eyes determine how far you go in life. Gen 13:14-15 says, “And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever.”

Until your spiritual eyes get renewed and empowered, it would be very difficult for you to enter into your promised land. The reason why some people are going from pillar to post without any headway in life is not because God has forsaken them, but rather because of what we have created out of our vision. Some of us see evil, scarcity, failure, destruction, miscarriage, poverty, joblessness, death and all sort of negative things and we have forgotten that what the eyes see, the mind brood over and that is what the spirit feeds on and in turn becomes what the life experiences.

You can go far in life, only if you can see it. You can make it only if you can see it. Until you can see the life you want to enjoy as against the life you are seeing, it would be pretty difficult to enjoy life the way God designed it to be.
