PROVOKING DIVINE CHANGE – 2

June 11, 2013

God is ever ready to change our stories, but we also have our own part to play. One of the ways to provoke a divine change is through worship.

Worship is not about how you feel. Genuine worship is not about singing songs and getting a good feeling in your heart, it is about seeing God for who He really is – powerful, mighty, and great – and then giving Him the best of your time, your talents, your thoughts, your words and your deeds anytime and anywhere.

True worship is seeing the tremendous worth of God afresh and in response, giving Him the best of everything you have. No one would evangelize in heaven, no sharing of tract when we get there, there won’t be need for prayers, however, one thing that we will continue to do when we get to heaven is worship.

I do tell people that worship is a loaded and sophisticated warship. In the book of 2Kings 3, there is a story about Jehoshaphat and two other kings journeyed for about seven days and there was no water for the host, and for the cattle that followed them.

When Elisha came to the scene, he told them bring me a minstrel. In order words, get me someone who can praise and worship God.

In verse 15, “And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him.” Someone said that when worship goes up, the presence of the Lord comes down. At the end of the day, God supplied the water and food they needed and also fought their battle for them.

Also, Pharaoh and his people were destroyed because he refused the children of Israel the opportunity to go worship God.

Friends, if only you would worship God in that state of lack, He would take you to that palace of prosperity. Worship Him when things are fine and when they are not.

Worship can give birth to your desired change! From glory to glory you shall be changed as you become an addicted worshipper of God in Jesus Name. Amen!
