WORDS ARE SEEDS

June 26, 2013

I have come to realize that nothing is more important than the words we speak. Therefore, we must never underestimate the power of our words, either through ignorance or neglect. Words are seeds and good or bad, they will bring forth a harvest.

Words are seeds. In fact, whatever is in a seed must produce after its own kind. For example, an apple seed will produce apples. This principle is especially true where words are concerned. Words are a powerful force. Yet that force can be positive or negative.

A situation can worsen when you speak negatively about it. By the same token, when you speak positive words, your circumstances will change for the better. This is because words are like the rudder of a ship. Once spoken, words begin to steer your life in a specific direction.

God created the heavens and the earth with words. Why is this significant? Because you are made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26), which means you are a 'speaking spirit.' You possess creative power and just like God, you create your world with your words! Your words have creative power, so begin today to only speak words that produce life!

Be careful what you say. Bible says in Matt 12:36, “That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” And in Prov 21:23, the Bible says, “Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.”

Stop calling your kids stupid children. Stop referring to your spouse as uncaring and unloving. Stop it! Think about it. If your words have the power to shape circumstances, and you constantly speak death, you will eventually destroy your life and end up a dead man. Start speaking positive things. Call your spouse loving and caring. Call your kids smart and intelligent and obedient children.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. I pray that your words will not ruin you in Jesus Name. Amen!

YOU ARE NOTHING WITHOUT JESUS

June 25, 2013

There is a story of two donkeys strolling in Jerusalem few days after Jesus had rode into the city on a donkey, when one of them said, “Just yesterday I was passing here carrying Jesus and everyone was singing and I was even stepping on their clothes…..and today, not even one of them recognizes me.

The second donkey smiled and looked at him for a while and then responded, “My friend, in this world, you are nothing without Jesus.”

John 15:5 says, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”

This moment, let me clearly point it out to you that a life without Christ is a life filled with crisis. Without fuel in the car, the car won’t move. Without Jesus in your life, you would only be like a man fetching water from the ocean with a sieve. Your effort would generate no result without Jesus.

Without Jesus in your business, you will only go about in the act of busyness. Without Jesus involved in your academics, no matter how hard you study, you would still end up a professional failure.

The moment Jesus entered Peter’s boat, the same man that had toiled all night became a man that had to call others to come help him gather harvests. The moment Jesus entered that wedding hall in Cana, Galilee, new wine surfaced. When Jesus is involved in your affairs, newness would be your portion.

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, this is the time to do so, because there are wonderful goodies in stock for you. Jesus wants to fight your battles; He wants to make you great in life.  Christ, hell is your portion. Without Christ, destruction, shame and reproach are inevitable. Surrender your all to Him and He will give you His all. Without

My prayer is that you will give Jesus a chance to stay and grow in you in Jesus Name. Amen!

THE GIVER OF GIFTS

June 24, 2013

One of Aesop’s fables is about an old crow who was out in the wilderness and became very thirsty? He had not had anything to drink in a long time. He came to a jug that had a little water in the bottom of it. The old crow reached his beak into the jug to get some of that water, but his beak wouldn’t quite touch the water. So what did he do? He started picking up pebbles one at a time and dropping them into the jug. And as more and more pebbles accumulated in the bottom of the jug the water rose in the bottle until finally the old crow was able to drink all that he desired.

“God gave me a gift, not for me but for you, and God gave you a gift, not for you but for me. If you don’t use your gift, you’re depriving me; if I don’t use my gift, I’m robbing you.” – Rick Warren

One of Ripley’s "Believe It or Not" items pictured a plain bar of iron worth a mere $5. The same bar of iron if made into horse shoes would be worth $50. If it were made into needles, it would be worth $5,000. If it were made into balance springs for fine Swiss watches, it would be worth $500,000. The raw material is not as important as how it’s developed. God says we have spiritual gifts, but their worth to Him will be dependent on how we develop them.

We each have a natural talent. In our own hand it is a plain bar of iron. Think what it could be if you turn it over to Christ. Imagine what could happen when we discover our spiritual gift and join the two together.

The gifts are given so that everyone may profit thereby (1 Cor. 12:7). It is given so that the individual believer may be more useful and profitable to the entire Body of Christ.

I pray that every good and perfect gift you need to fulfill destiny will be released unto you today in Jesus Name. Amen!

DIVINE INTERCESSION

June 23, 2013

Have you ever bowed your head to pray, but you could not find the right words?  I mean, you knew you wanted to pray—you wanted to connect with God—wanted the heart connection with your Heavenly Father, but you just did not know how to put into words what was in your heart . . . you just weren't sure what to pray.

Most times, circumstances clearly show how and for what we ought to be praying--healing, comfort, peace, etc.  Then, there are those times when it is difficult to tell what the right thing would be--confusing to ascertain the will of God, so what then?  What words do you pray? That is the work of the Holy Spirit – to intercede on your behalf. To help you pray.

How many of us know of little kids that use their mothers as a bait to get things from their fathers. The mom would serve as the intercessor, who would present the child’s case before the father.

Romans 8:26 says “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” The Holy Spirit knows your greatest and most urgent heart desires and one of His jobs is to help you pray your desires into reality.

When the believer is most oppressed by outward trials and is most depressed by a sense of his inward vileness, when he is at his wit's end and ready to wring his hands in despair, then the Spirit stirs him in the depths of his being: "The Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

The way prayer works is like this, we pray to the Father, Through the Son, and With the Holy Spirit. Our access to the Father is through His Son. Our prayer partner when we go to the Father is the Holy Spirit.

From today, Holy Spirit will pray with you, for you, in you and through you in Jesus Name. Amen!

DIVINE COMFORT

June 22, 2013

Many years ago near the royal English residence on the Isle of Wight stood several homes for the poor and aged. A missionary, visiting some of the elderly people one day, asked a lady, "Does Queen Victoria ever call on you here?" "Oh, yes," was the answer, "Her Majesty frequently comes to see us." Then, wondering if the woman was a Christian, the missionary inquired, "Does the King of kings ever visit here?" The lady immediately gave him a happy, smile and replied, "No, sir, He doesn't visit here, He lives here.

I am sure you would agree; if there was ever a time when people were looking for comfort, it would be the day in which we live. Our nation is at war, our economy is in a mess, crime is at a level never seen before, and no one seems to know what to do. People are looking for answers. Stress Management Classes are now fast becoming one of the most attended classes.

One of the works of the Holy Spirit is to comfort the believer. The word "comforter" means "one to run to our side and pick us up." John 14:16 says “And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever.”

God gave us the Holy Spirit to comfort us in our times of distress and persecution and discomfort, when you are between a rock and a hard place, and those nights that you cry yourself to sleep

The Holy Spirit is in fact our comforter, our advocate, the one who runs to our side to pick us up, and our shoulder to cry on, our babysitter. Nobody will be able to hold you and tell you everything is alright like the Holy Spirit can, but YOU have to be the one to give him the room to do so. God will never leave us comfortless. Matt 28:20 says, “I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.”

My prayer is that the Holy Ghost will be your ever present comforter in Jesus Name. Amen!

WORSHIP IS A WEAPON

June 21, 2013

One of the things that the Holy Spirit has taught me is that worship is a tool that shakes the world, anytime, anywhere. Without worship, we go about miserable.

Recently I was not feeling comfortable with a situation I was going through. I tried praying but nothing happened. Few days later, I just woke up and started worshipping God. I thanked Him for the things He has done and the things I was expecting. Holy Spirit quickly cautioned me, and made it clear to me that the request was for me to thank God for things I don’t have.

It was a pretty difficult thing for me to start doing. You can imagine wishing and praying for a car for years and not having it, and yet the Holy Spirit is asking you to thank God thank you do not have it yet. I started worshipping God for my lacks and needs and wants. I wanted to switch but the Holy Spirit kept saying I should not.

Throughout that time we had our family altar, all we did was just to thank God for our lacks and needs. Friends, that same day, what looked like an uphill task became an easy one to crack. We as humans find it pretty easy to worship God for the SUVs, duplex, obedient child, good jobs, great wife and all. However, we find it hard to worship God when the reverse is the case.

Bible never told us to worship God when all is well. As a matter of fact, the hymn “It is well” was sang when the writer was in great distress and unpalatable situation. When you worship God for what you don’t have, you are saying, whether I have it or not, You are still my God. Whether my account is red or yellow, I still choose to worship You. Give thanks in all things is the command.

As you worship God for what you don’t have, He will open the windows of heaven and release what you need unto you in Jesus Name. Amen!

THE BLOOD OF JESUS - 2

June 20, 2013

There is a joke about some religion leaders travelling in the same aircraft to a conference. Few minutes after takeoff, it was said that the aircraft started messing up. The air hostess quickly announced that there was an issue and that all passengers on board should start calling on their various gods as the possibility of landing safely was minus ten.

On a particular row was seated a pastor and an herbalist. Suddenly the pastor heard “the blood of Jesus”. He looked around and saw that there was no Christian around him that could have said that. Minutes later, he heard “the blood of Jesus” again and this time it came from the herbalist. The pastor could not hide his feelings and quickly challenged the herbalist.

“Is the blood of Jesus your blood?” The truth of the matter is that there is power so mighty in the blood of Jesus. Creflo Dollar said “Nothing can stand against you when you know the authority you operate in because of the blood. His blood has given you the victory over every battle you face!”

In Exo 12:13, bible says “The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.” If through the blood of animals, God could do such mighty miracles, how much more the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus sets apart. It separates from the “ready to be relegated” league.

The blood of Jesus is like our visa to enter into the holiest. Heb 10:19 says “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.” Through the blood of Jesus, you can access spiritual benefits in Christ – healing, deliverance, protection and all.

However, it is worthy of note that the blood will only work for people that are connected to the source of the blood. The first requirement to have the blood work for you is to have Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior.

As you start pleading the blood of Jesus over your life, I pray that your breakthrough comes speedily in Jesus Name. Amen!

THE BLOOD OF JESUS

June 19, 2013

Years ago, there was a particular project that I abandoned. Each time I tried working on it, something would crop up and I would eventually dump the idea. I prayed and fasted but yet, had no headway.

At that point, I knew something was wrong. On one glorious day, I bumped on the scripture that says that the blood of Jesus speak better things than the blood of Abel. I quickly went to check what the blood of Abel spoke and I saw it was full of vengeance. At this point, I knew my deliverance had finally come.

So I took a bottle of coke and sanctified it as the blood of Jesus. I initially wanted to drink half of that coke but it was too sweet to be left halfway. Friends, all I can say is that the project became a testimony 6 months after I drank the blood of Jesus.

The life of a man, they say, is in the blood. The blood flowing through you determines the life you will live. If the blood of Jesus that speaks better things than the blood of Abel is flowing on the inside of you, it is impossible for sickness or failure to be found in you. Water and oil don’t mix. The blood of Jesus and darkness CAN NEVER mix.

Rev 12:11a says “And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb.” When the blood of Christ is in you, you are assured of total victory over shame, sickness, failure or death. The blood makes the impossible possible.

Who is that strong man standing against your progress? Who is that strong enemy standing against your settling down? Relax; all you have to do is to just plead the blood of Jesus over that situation.

I speak with the authority of Christ that the blood of Jesus begins to speak for you from today in Jesus Name. Amen! Anywhere your name is mentioned for evil, the blood will answer on your behalf in Jesus Name. Amen!

WALK IN VICTORY

June 18, 2013

God wants you to live a life of faith and victory. He knows that you will face trials and temptations of many kinds. So, He gave you the Bible, which is God’s Word, to teach you about Him and to teach you how to act as a believer. If you will read, memorize, obey, and share God’s Word then you will be equipped to walk in victory.

When you spend time studying the Bible, you will discover the power of God’s Word. Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

In the book of Matthew we read the account of Jesus being tempted by the devil. Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the desert where he fasted for forty days and forty nights and he was hungry. He was at his physical and emotional weakest point. That was when the devil came to tempt Him. The devil will always come to test you during your weakest period.

Rather than argue or debate with the devil, Jesus simply quoted God’s Word because God’s Word is Truth. The devil cannot deny the Truth or overcome it. Three times Jesus replied, “It is written” and then quoted the word of God.

In order to walk in total victory, we must embrace the word of God. Joshua 1:8 says “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

You must submit yourself to the authority of God’s Word. You cannot fight your spiritual enemies by your authority for you have no authority. Without the word of God on the inside of you, you are an empty vessel.

I pray that the word of God will work for you in Jesus Name. Amen!

THE REDEEMED

June 17, 2013

To redeem something could mean to exchange it for another. A slave bought with a price and freed could be referred to as “The Redeemed” and owes his freedom to the Redeemer. Slavery is a horrible experience.

The Israelites experienced the horribleness of slavery in Egypt as recorded in Exo 1:8-14.
History also records that Slave trade proceeded for about 200 years from Africa to the Caribbean and America, where slaves were made to work in the sugarcane plantations. Slaves were treated
in the most abhorrent and inhumane fashion. They suffered pain, torture, constant fear and death.

A large percentage of slaves are worked to death in their prime age while many succumb to diseases and malnutrition. Moreover they have no wishes of their own, no rights of their own nor sense of belonging. Whatever they labor for belongs to their owner.

The plan of Satan is to keep you and me in total bondage and slavery. The scripture says that the devil has come to steal, kill and destroy. He doesn’t want you to be free. He hates it when you celebrate years of super and sound health. He dislikes it when you have food to eat and even to share with the hungry.

God has redeemed us from shame, sickness, reproach, and sin through His son Jesus Christ and has blessed us. (Ps 107:2) but whoever chooses to still live in sin remains a slave to Satan. Christ died that you may live. He became poor that you may be rich. He gave His life in exchange for yours. You are entitled to live large on earth.

The only person that is allowed to still be under the bondage of Satan is that man that engages in sin. Sin sinks a man. Sin ridicules a man. Sin blocks God off the life of a man.

Every sin that takes you back to Egypt (land of captivity and slavery) be broken off right now and may the grace never to return back to those sins be made available for you today in Jesus Name. Amen!

PRIDE DESTROYS

June 16, 2013

The story is told of two ducks and a frog that lived happily together in a farm pond. The best of friends, the three would amuse themselves and play together in their waterhole. When the hot summer days came, however, the pond began to dry up, and soon it was evident they would have to move.

This was no problem for the ducks, who could easily fly to another pond. But the frog was stuck. So it was decided that they would put a stick in the bill of each duck that the frog could hang onto with his mouth as they flew to another pond. The plan worked well--so well, in fact, that as they were flying along a farmer looked up in admiration and mused, "Well, isn't that a clever idea! I wonder who thought of it?"

The frog said, "I did..." You can conclude the story yourself. He fell down and died. Pride is esteeming one’s self above other people. Do you think that because you have achieved certain things or have certain things that you’re better than somebody else?

Pride is an attitude of independence from God. Pride turned Lucifer, the son of morning, to Satan, the father of night. There has never been an argument, a war, a divorce, nor was a church split that pride not the major factor. Proverbs 13:10 says, “Only by pride cometh contention  . . ." and Proverbs 28:25 says, “He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife . . .

Who is a proud person? A proud person will not accept responsibility for mistakes and becomes irritated when corrected for mistakes. A proud person sees himself as the biggest and the best. James 4:6 says that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.

Christ is not proud despite His powers. So, what do you have that’s puffing you up. Don’t forget that “Pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall." I pray that every spirit of pride inside of us melt away in Jesus Name. Amen!

DIVINE EMPOWERMENT

June 15, 2013

Divine empowerment is the release of God’s ability in human beings through the Holy Spirit to accomplish divine objectives. Its purpose is to accomplish the plan of God in any given situation by strengthening individuals to do the will of God.

In life, only the empowered succeeds. We all desire success in all areas of our lives, but if desires alone were enough to bring success, then we’d all become successful people. Effort doesn’t guarantee success. Until we are endued with power from on high, we will not make any meaning and success whatsoever here on earth.

Our access to divine empowerment is by the anointing of the Holy Ghost. Without the Holy Ghost in the life of a man, the man’s effort would be fruitless and yield little or result. Even our Lord and Savior Jesus did not start His ministry until the Holy Ghost empowered Him.

When the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples in Acts 2, they exploded with power and from there; they turned the world upside down. After the coming of the Holy Spirit upon Apostle Peter, he preached one message and 3000 (three thousand) souls were added to the church. Can you imagine 3000 new clients patronizing you in a day? Few days later, the Apostle preached another sermon and 5000 souls were added to the church. Wow! It even got to a point that the shadow of Apostle Peter could heal people.

Divine empowerment is the oil that makes the engine of our lives roll smoothly. Acts 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Until Jesus received power of the Holy Spirit, he was not recorded to have done any good.

I pray that the Holy Ghost will empower you for greatness, impact and success in all your endeavors and help you to fulfill destiny in Jesus Name. Amen!

IT’S IN YOU

June 14, 2013

There is a story of a woman that armed robbers came to the area where she was a shop owner. This woman was said to be very fat and was always referred to as “Big Mummy.” On the fateful day that armed robbers came to the area, when big mummy heard gun shots and saw the ammunition with the robbers, the story has it that big mummy became a great Usain Bolt-like sprinter.

When she was asked after the incident how she was able to run that fast, she said she never knew she could run that fast again until occasion called for it. She was already comfortable being called big fat mummy until something had to make her take on the character of slim fast mummy. The incident made her realize that there is no limit to what we can do as humans.

I am come today to tell you to refuse to be too comfortable with your situation. Kick yourself in the butt. There is no limit to what you can achieve or do. You are wonderfully and fearfully made. There is a giant inside you waiting to be let out. There is a lot inside of you.

Listen, you can do all things through Christ your strength. You can tread upon lions and serpents and they won’t dare hurt you. You can walk in the valley of the shadow of death, and you will not be scared. Greatness is inside of you. 1Jhn 4:4 says “greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” Fruitfulness is inside of you. Prosperity is inside you.

You have the King of kings on the inside of you, which is why the Bible says in Rom 8:19 that the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. The world is waiting for you to manifest.

I pray that every latent gift inside of you that is needed for the fulfillment of your destiny on earth be released right now by the power of the Holy Ghost in Jesus Name. Amen!

REMEMBER ME OH LORD.

June 13, 2013

Many times in our lives, the thought that maybe God has forgotten has might have crossed our minds. As a result of this, some of us have plan B as to if God does not do this, I can go about it this way. Tell yourself this moment, “I am not forgotten.”

Isa 49:15-16 says, “Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.”

It is like tattooing the name of someone upon the palms of your hands, you can never forget the person. Men can and will forget you, trust me, but God can and will never forget you. Pastor E.A. Adeboye said “God’s capacity to know and remember is beyond human comprehension.”

Isa 40:28 says “there is no searching of his understanding.” He never forgets, however, He may choose not to remember. Isa 43:45 says “I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.”

When God remembers a man, He moves very, very fast. When He decided to remember Joseph, within twenty four hours, everything about Joseph changed. Whenever He chooses to remember you, He will move the heaven and the earth for your sake. Because of one blind man, He went to Jericho. Because of one fellow, He went to the grave yard.

Before the end of today, God will remember you in Jesus Name. Amen!

The widow in 2Kings 4 had debt to pay back within 24 hours else there was going to be an issue. She cried out to God and within twenty four hours, God remembered her and she became a very rich woman. When God remembers you, he cancels your debt and turns you to a lender.

For someone, I pray that God even God remembers you this moment and settles your case in Jesus Name. Amen!

PROVOKING DIVINE CHANGE – 3

June 12, 2013

One thing I have discovered with the human race is that we find it very hard to give out because we think the moment we give out, what we have tends to reduce in size so we keep keeping. Another way to provoke a status change in life is through the act of giving.

Let me be frank with you, the money or resources you have is never your own. Hag 2:8, says, “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.”  You are just a steward. The way you manage what you have now will determine how much more you will get later.

The scripture says that God delights in your prosperity and as such He is the only One that gives power to make wealth, however, if you are not faithful in little, more will never be committed into your hands.

Stop keeping your money/resources away from God, after all, who gave you? If you want to be rich, save in the bank, but if you want to be prosperous and affluent, give to the Lord. Whatever you give God comes back to you in uncountable folds.

God gave Jesus and see how many souls He has gotten back and still getting back. That goes to tell you that the ROI you get when you partner with God with your money/resources will be more than what any bank could give you. If you would not release the little in your hand, God will not release the much in His own hand.

Pay your tithe regularly so things won’t be tight be for you. Give offerings in church regularly and see the kind of opportunities that will be offered unto you. Give to the poor, do good unto thy neighbor. Give to servants of God. For me, I always say that there are three ways to provoke divine change through giving which are; Give, keep giving and don’t stop giving.

As you become a rugged and unrepentant giver, your coast will be enlarged and you shall continually wax great in Jesus Name. Amen!

PROVOKING DIVINE CHANGE – 2

June 11, 2013

God is ever ready to change our stories, but we also have our own part to play. One of the ways to provoke a divine change is through worship.

Worship is not about how you feel. Genuine worship is not about singing songs and getting a good feeling in your heart, it is about seeing God for who He really is – powerful, mighty, and great – and then giving Him the best of your time, your talents, your thoughts, your words and your deeds anytime and anywhere.

True worship is seeing the tremendous worth of God afresh and in response, giving Him the best of everything you have. No one would evangelize in heaven, no sharing of tract when we get there, there won’t be need for prayers, however, one thing that we will continue to do when we get to heaven is worship.

I do tell people that worship is a loaded and sophisticated warship. In the book of 2Kings 3, there is a story about Jehoshaphat and two other kings journeyed for about seven days and there was no water for the host, and for the cattle that followed them.

When Elisha came to the scene, he told them bring me a minstrel. In order words, get me someone who can praise and worship God.

In verse 15, “And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him.” Someone said that when worship goes up, the presence of the Lord comes down. At the end of the day, God supplied the water and food they needed and also fought their battle for them.

Also, Pharaoh and his people were destroyed because he refused the children of Israel the opportunity to go worship God.

Friends, if only you would worship God in that state of lack, He would take you to that palace of prosperity. Worship Him when things are fine and when they are not.

Worship can give birth to your desired change! From glory to glory you shall be changed as you become an addicted worshipper of God in Jesus Name. Amen!
