Two small fishes went to God to ask for protection from the mouth of a
very destructive shark that just invaded their habitation. “What do you want
from me? Asked God.
“I want wings so I can quickly fly away anytime the shark is coming”
asked the first fish.
“I want your presence to be with me” asked the second fish to the
surprise of the first fish.
Suddenly the shark showed up, without wasting too much time, the first
fish flapped its wings so hard and flew off the water unto the dry land. A large
hawk noticed the small fish on the dry land and quickly ate it as lunch.
The second fish was still mourning the disappearance of its neighbor
when it noticed the shark coming. It became scared to the marrow but noticed
that the shark just passed by it and went away.
When asked why it didn’t eat the other small fish, the shark said “I wanted
to, but I saw thorns all around its body”.
Exo 33:15 says “Then Moses said to Him (God), if your presence does
not go with us, do not send us from here”.
The presence of God at a wedding in Cana, Galilee turned scarcity to
abundance. The presence of God with the three Hebrew boys turned a fiery
furnace into a cold room. The presence of God with Jonah turned the mouth of a
fish into the reception of a big five star hotel. The presence of the Lord with
the Israelites confounded their enemy.
If the presence of God is with you, you will become a touch not to
evil and destruction. In all your asking, ask for His presence.
I pray that the presence of the Lord will never depart from you in
Jesus Name. Amen!
