DIVINE PROVISION

In 1Kings 17:3-4 the word of the Lord came unto Elijah saying “Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.
There was no rain in the land, everywhere was dry. Crops were not germinating. Hunger was everywhere. It was a sad situation.
But for the man that was connected with heaven, he got fed in a way that was beyond human understanding. We were made to understand that ravens fed him – great God. What can’t God do? Nothing!
Suddenly the brook dried up as a result of no rain, but because God will do anything to preserve His own people, verse 9 of that same chapter, the Lord said,Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
Some of us are like this; our sources of income suddenly dried up; something harsh just happened; some got laid off from their jobs; some lost a huge amount to fraudsters.
The young lion do suffer hunger and do lack, but they that put their trust in the Lord shall not lack any good thing. For the people connected to heaven, there will always be a way out. There will always be sources of provision for you. God is not happy when you lack.
God is ready to provide for you as long as you are ready to listen to Him. Some of us prefer going our way than going God’s way. If some of us were in Elijah’s shoes, I am sure we would have being skeptical about going to Zarephath knowing full well that there was famine in that land also. But the truth is that God sees the end from the beginning.
If you would make God your only source of provision, you will never lack anything. He is the only source that can never dry up.
From today, as you make God your only source,  you shall enjoy divine provision real time in Jesus Name. Amen!
