A seventeen year old white lady got pregnant for a black man in 1971
in Iowa town.
The girl's parents strongly encouraged her to have an abortion or get
out of their home. She chose to have the baby, even though she had nowhere to
go.
She was once a promising concert pianist but this experience tore her
apart. She started doing drugs, she lost it.
One day, a lady walked to her on the street and told her about Jesus'
love and forgiveness. She got to know that despite all her wrongs and misdeeds,
Jesus still love her. She made a decision for Christ. The lady gave her a Bible
and left.
She flipped through the Bible and saw the name Israel time and again.
She said right there "I WILL NAME MY BABY ISRAEL". She didn't know
how to pray. Knew little about God, but she said boldly, "God, I'm
committing my little baby to You. I'm asking You to use him to do great
things."
As the son was growing up, he had incredible musical gifts. He could
play practically any instrument. He could write songs. He could arrange music. He
put together his own band, and supernatural doors opened.
Today, he's one of the great worship leaders and great songwriters of
our time. He is no other person than Israel Houghton. The woman got more than
double for her shame.
I just want us to know that anything that is committed into the hands
of the Almighty lives and flourishes no matter what has happened before. He is
always ready to help you.
Hannah in the Bible did same too. Why don't you just commit yourself,
your children, your business and your home into God's hand. Ask Him to use
everything about you to do great things for Him.
As you do, God will enlarge your territory and bless you greatly in
Jesus Name. Amen!
