One of the
things that I have personally discovered with our God is that before He
blesses, there must be something in your hand. God would bless what is in your
hands. Before the 5000 people got fed, there was bread and fish in the hands of
a little boy. The handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse was
what God needed from the widow of Zarephath before she could enjoy the fullness
of God.
Deu 28:12 says,
“The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain
unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand.” I am
bold to say that God does not love lazy people. 2Th 3:10 says, “For even when
we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither
should he eat.”
God is
interested in blessing His people. As a matter of truth, it doesn’t do God any
good keeping His blessings up there; He needs them not! But you must work at
it. Deu 28:8 says, “The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy
storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto.”
Hello my
friend, find something to do with your hands. Abraham worked. Isaac worked. Jacob
worked. David worked. We were even made to understand that between Jesus’ age
12 and 30; He worked in Joseph’s carpentry workshop. Before Peter got called
into ministry, he had a day job. God’s blessings don’t come upon lazy hands,
they come upon working hands.
Ecc 9:10 says,
“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work,
nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.” In order
words, stop waiting for the perfect job to come, start somewhere; start
something. Remember that faith without works is dead.
I pray for you
today that whatsoever you do with your hands shall prosper in Jesus Name. Amen!
