In a children
Sunday school class, the teacher asked the student, “why did Moses and the rest
of the children of Israel walked in the desert for 40 years?” One tiny little
boy stood up from nowhere and answered, “they were proud, in that they didn't
want to ask directions and look like freshmen.”
Someone said
that if you do not know where you are headed, everywhere is a destination.
Direction in life is vital. Without direction, confusion is inevitable. Someone
said that if you do not where you are going, everywhere is a location. God
wants to direct our steps, but what I have found out is that we’d rather ask
our fellowman for direction than ask God.
When you are
divinely directed, you achieve things easier and faster. You struggle less
because you won’t waste time walking a wrong path. Isaiah 42:16 says, "And
I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths
that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked
things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them"
As a matter
of fact, in order to enjoy the fullness of God, you must go the way of God; that’s
the only way to avoid death, sickness, failure, shame, reproach, disappointment
and all because Prov 14:12 says, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a
man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Abraham was divinely directed
and he ended up exceedingly great.
For God to
direct you in the way you ought to go; you must delight yourself in the Lord. Psalm
37:23 says, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth
in his way." Prov 3:6 says, "In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he
shall direct thy paths"
My prayer for
you is that the Lord God Almighty will lead you where you ought to go and when
you are to go in Jesus Name. Amen!
