After the
Almighty has brought the children of
Israel out of Egypt and even made them cross the red sea, they got to a point
where they became hungry and instead of asking God to give them food, Bible
says in in Exo 16:2-3 that, “And the whole congregation of the children of
Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness: And the children of
Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the
land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the
full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole
assembly with hunger.” This made God do what has never been done before. The
heavens opened and bread was rained down.
Operating
under open heavens is incomparable to any other experience. When your heaven is
opened, it means that when others are complaining of lack, you are rejoicing of
abundance. When your heaven is opened, it means when others are mourning, you
are rejoicing. However, open heavens is not automatic, it is provoked.
One of the
ways to provoke open heavens is through prayer. Luke 3:21 says, “Now when all
the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and
praying, the heaven was opened.” Until
the heavens opened, the Holy Ghost never appeared in a bodily shape. When your
heaven is opened, things beyond human comprehension and calculation will begin
to happen.
Another way to
have the heavens opened is through obedience. Isa 1:19 says, “If ye be willing
and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.” Obedience is key to having
the heavens opened. It is not enough to pray, you must be willing to be
obedient. Obey God to the last order and I pray for someone today that as you
do so, your heavens shall perpetually be opened in Jesus Name. Amen!
