During the time of war in Liberia, a preacher gave a testimony that
rebels were being used to feed them. They came with food stuffs and asked his
wife to be their cook which gave them automatic access to eating good food.
In the book of Exodus 16 chapter 16, the children of Israel were out
of food, money, or anything they could use to keep themselves alive. At that
point, they became very aggressive and started murmuring.
However, because our God does not forsake, He told Moses in verse 4, “I
will rain bread from heaven for you.” When it comes to the case of God’s
children, He is ready to do anything to make sure they are well taken care of. In
verse 35, the Bible says “And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years.”
In order words, for forty years, the children of Israel had no need to worry
about food scarcity or money to buy ingredients because they were getting
already made meal.
In 1Kings chapter 17, Prophet Elijah said that no rain or dew shall
drop in the land until he says so. His statement was honored by God and not a
single drop of rain or dew fell. As a result of this, famine became the order
of the day. But the Prophet was divinely sustained during that terrible period.
In verse 6, ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and
bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook. When the brook dried
up because rain did not fall in the land, Elijah did not feel the heat of that
situation as there was already a plan to have him sustained. Verse 9 says and
the Lord told the Prophet, “Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to
Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain
thee.”
For him that is joined to the living, you can never run out of
provisions, God will always make a way for that person. He will sure do
something to just make sure that person is satisfied. I pray for you that God
will sustain you every moment of your life in Jesus Name. Amen!
