I KNOW WHO I AM

December 5, 2013

Until you have the knowledge of who you truly are, you will never cease living like someone else. In Luke 15, Jesus told a parable about two sons of a certain man. One of the sons demanded that his father give him his own share of the father’s will even when the father was still alive. Bible says he got it and wasted everything on riotous living. He started living like a vagabond to the extent that he was also eating part of the food meant for pigs.

In verse 17, he came to himself and reminded himself of who he was.  He said, “How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger?” In order words, hired servants in my father’s house eat the choicest bread, so how much more me that I am a true son of the father. He came to an understanding of who he was and that was what liberated him.

If the boy had not returned home to his father, he would have died a tramp. Sir, you are not a cheap commodity in the hands of God. You were formed in the image and likeness of God. You carry the gene of God on the inside of you. You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; created and formed that ye should shew forth the praises of God. You are the child of The MOST HIGH GOD, low life isn’t yours!

Sir, I need you to know that you are a lender unto nations and not a borrower. Jesus died that you may live; He became poor that you through His own poverty might be rich. However, if you are not in Jesus, you will never enjoy who you were created to be. I pray for you that everything stopping you from living the life God created for you is dealt with today in Jesus Name. Amen!
