One of the
things that faith does is that it acts. Faith is an action word, as such; it
does something in order to activate one’s miracle. The first law of motion
states that every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that
state unless an external force is applied to it.
Faith is the
senior brother of belief. It is one thing to believe God – even unbelievers do,
it is another thing to have faith in Him – a whole lot of us don’t do this. The
scripture says in James 2:20 that, “But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith
without works is dead?” Work is what gives life to your faith.
Jesus blessed
five loaves of bread and two fish and gave them to the disciples to distribute
to five thousand people. How possible is that? But the disciples understood
that it was Jesus and that all things are possible to him that believes, so
they took that step of faith and at the end, they had twelve baskets full left.
In the book
of 2 Kings 4, the widow had faith in the God of Elisha, so she cried to him for
help. However, the man of God said to someone that debt was almost making her
lose her children, “Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even
empty vessels; borrow not a few. And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the
door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels,
and thou shalt set aside that which is full.” Thank God the woman acted on her
initial belief that God of Elijah could sort her case, if not, she would have
died a debtor.
James 2:26
says, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is
dead also.” I pray for you that every step of faith you take towards your
desire from henceforth would yield overflowing blessings in Jesus Name. Amen!
