IT’S IN YOU

June 14, 2013

There is a story of a woman that armed robbers came to the area where she was a shop owner. This woman was said to be very fat and was always referred to as “Big Mummy.” On the fateful day that armed robbers came to the area, when big mummy heard gun shots and saw the ammunition with the robbers, the story has it that big mummy became a great Usain Bolt-like sprinter.

When she was asked after the incident how she was able to run that fast, she said she never knew she could run that fast again until occasion called for it. She was already comfortable being called big fat mummy until something had to make her take on the character of slim fast mummy. The incident made her realize that there is no limit to what we can do as humans.

I am come today to tell you to refuse to be too comfortable with your situation. Kick yourself in the butt. There is no limit to what you can achieve or do. You are wonderfully and fearfully made. There is a giant inside you waiting to be let out. There is a lot inside of you.

Listen, you can do all things through Christ your strength. You can tread upon lions and serpents and they won’t dare hurt you. You can walk in the valley of the shadow of death, and you will not be scared. Greatness is inside of you. 1Jhn 4:4 says “greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” Fruitfulness is inside of you. Prosperity is inside you.

You have the King of kings on the inside of you, which is why the Bible says in Rom 8:19 that the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. The world is waiting for you to manifest.

I pray that every latent gift inside of you that is needed for the fulfillment of your destiny on earth be released right now by the power of the Holy Ghost in Jesus Name. Amen!

REMEMBER ME OH LORD.

June 13, 2013

Many times in our lives, the thought that maybe God has forgotten has might have crossed our minds. As a result of this, some of us have plan B as to if God does not do this, I can go about it this way. Tell yourself this moment, “I am not forgotten.”

Isa 49:15-16 says, “Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.”

It is like tattooing the name of someone upon the palms of your hands, you can never forget the person. Men can and will forget you, trust me, but God can and will never forget you. Pastor E.A. Adeboye said “God’s capacity to know and remember is beyond human comprehension.”

Isa 40:28 says “there is no searching of his understanding.” He never forgets, however, He may choose not to remember. Isa 43:45 says “I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.”

When God remembers a man, He moves very, very fast. When He decided to remember Joseph, within twenty four hours, everything about Joseph changed. Whenever He chooses to remember you, He will move the heaven and the earth for your sake. Because of one blind man, He went to Jericho. Because of one fellow, He went to the grave yard.

Before the end of today, God will remember you in Jesus Name. Amen!

The widow in 2Kings 4 had debt to pay back within 24 hours else there was going to be an issue. She cried out to God and within twenty four hours, God remembered her and she became a very rich woman. When God remembers you, he cancels your debt and turns you to a lender.

For someone, I pray that God even God remembers you this moment and settles your case in Jesus Name. Amen!

PROVOKING DIVINE CHANGE – 3

June 12, 2013

One thing I have discovered with the human race is that we find it very hard to give out because we think the moment we give out, what we have tends to reduce in size so we keep keeping. Another way to provoke a status change in life is through the act of giving.

Let me be frank with you, the money or resources you have is never your own. Hag 2:8, says, “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.”  You are just a steward. The way you manage what you have now will determine how much more you will get later.

The scripture says that God delights in your prosperity and as such He is the only One that gives power to make wealth, however, if you are not faithful in little, more will never be committed into your hands.

Stop keeping your money/resources away from God, after all, who gave you? If you want to be rich, save in the bank, but if you want to be prosperous and affluent, give to the Lord. Whatever you give God comes back to you in uncountable folds.

God gave Jesus and see how many souls He has gotten back and still getting back. That goes to tell you that the ROI you get when you partner with God with your money/resources will be more than what any bank could give you. If you would not release the little in your hand, God will not release the much in His own hand.

Pay your tithe regularly so things won’t be tight be for you. Give offerings in church regularly and see the kind of opportunities that will be offered unto you. Give to the poor, do good unto thy neighbor. Give to servants of God. For me, I always say that there are three ways to provoke divine change through giving which are; Give, keep giving and don’t stop giving.

As you become a rugged and unrepentant giver, your coast will be enlarged and you shall continually wax great in Jesus Name. Amen!

PROVOKING DIVINE CHANGE – 2

June 11, 2013

God is ever ready to change our stories, but we also have our own part to play. One of the ways to provoke a divine change is through worship.

Worship is not about how you feel. Genuine worship is not about singing songs and getting a good feeling in your heart, it is about seeing God for who He really is – powerful, mighty, and great – and then giving Him the best of your time, your talents, your thoughts, your words and your deeds anytime and anywhere.

True worship is seeing the tremendous worth of God afresh and in response, giving Him the best of everything you have. No one would evangelize in heaven, no sharing of tract when we get there, there won’t be need for prayers, however, one thing that we will continue to do when we get to heaven is worship.

I do tell people that worship is a loaded and sophisticated warship. In the book of 2Kings 3, there is a story about Jehoshaphat and two other kings journeyed for about seven days and there was no water for the host, and for the cattle that followed them.

When Elisha came to the scene, he told them bring me a minstrel. In order words, get me someone who can praise and worship God.

In verse 15, “And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him.” Someone said that when worship goes up, the presence of the Lord comes down. At the end of the day, God supplied the water and food they needed and also fought their battle for them.

Also, Pharaoh and his people were destroyed because he refused the children of Israel the opportunity to go worship God.

Friends, if only you would worship God in that state of lack, He would take you to that palace of prosperity. Worship Him when things are fine and when they are not.

Worship can give birth to your desired change! From glory to glory you shall be changed as you become an addicted worshipper of God in Jesus Name. Amen!

PROVOKING DIVINE CHANGE

June 10, 2013

The first law of motion states that every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state unless an external force is applied to it. Mere looking at a 2013 model of Bugatti Veyron would not make it drive you to your desired destination until you turn on the engine and drive the car.

Sometimes we desire some changes but they seem not to be coming as at when we need them, as a result of this, we get sick and tired and start asking questions like, “God, why me?” Let me ask you a question, if you desire a change of cloth and the new cloth is in your wardrobe, what would you do? Remove the present one you have on you and put on the new one, right?

Divine change brings new things into your life. When God changed the status of O-bed-Edom, he became a totally different man. When God changed the status of Mordecai, his long delayed promotion came speedily. Jabez sat down and examined his life in 1 Chronicles 4: 9-10 and saw that he was not doing well at all.

Is your business, marriage, career, ministry not measuring up to your desired level? Don’t be fooled into believing that change is automatic. Like I always tell people, some of us believe that because God is all-knowing, then He can see am this and that, and He should sort me. No! It doesn’t work that way.

Note that heaven does not change what you can tolerate or endure. Until you get angry about your present level, you might not attain the next level you desire. You need to get to that stage of “I won’t let you go until you change my status.” However, anger alone would not solve it, there are steps to take.

One of the steps to take is to pray like Hannah did in 1Samuel 1:10-20. There is a popular acronym “PUSH” – Pray Until Something Happens. Pray your change into existence.

As you pray for a change this moment, your desired change would be released unto you in Jesus Name. Amen!

ORDER FROM HEADQUARTER

June 9, 2013

One of things I love about military people is that they follow order to the last detail. It doesn’t matter who the order is against, as long as the order is coming from the superior above, it has to be carried out.

As believers, you belong to the Jesus army battalion with headquarter in heaven. The Almighty God is the chief commander. Once an order comes from Him, it don’t matter who you are or what you are, the order has to come to pass. I mean no one can stop it or go against it, not even you!

One of such orders we can find in Isaiah 60:1, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.”

No matter where you are; irrespective of your color or gender; not to worry about the life you have lived before; there is an order from headquarter that you, I mean you, should arise and shine. Listen to me, I have been asked to tell you that your rent in obscurity estate has expired, arise now and move to Shine Avenue.

Whether you like it or not is not an issue; whether the devil approves of it or not is not an issue; it is an order not from me, but from the ancient of days that you are arising and shining from today in Jesus Name.

The moment God told the children of Israel, “Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward,” that was the moment the spotlight came back on them. They were in darkness before, but the moment they turned northward, light came back.

The word “esprit de corps” might mean nothing to a civilian. Same way a divine order would mean nothing to a mind not yet renewed by Christ. Give Jesus a place in your heart and start enjoying all the benefits attached.

In the name that is above every other name, from today, the same power that took Joseph from the prison to the palace takes you from obscurity to limelight in Jesus Name. Amen!

THANK YOU LORD

June 8, 2013

There is a story of an author who became so popular and highly priced that his writings were earning him ten dollars per word. A few college students however didn't appreciate Kipling’s writings, so they sent him a letter, enclosing with it ten dollars. The letter reads, “Please send us your best word.” They received a letter back that simply read, “Thanks.”

Psalm 107:1 says “O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”

Kids get encouraged to say thank you whenever anyone gave them a gift no matter how small it is, however as adults, we rarely say thank you except the gift is somewhat big. This habit has eaten so deep into most of us that it has even affected our relationship with God.

Some of us have one million and one reasons why God does not deserve our thanks. After all, the bills are still unpaid; the storehouse is still empty; bank account is red; so why on earth must I give thanks to the Lord?

Someone said that, “If you have nothing to be thankful for then make up your mind that there is something wrong with you.” We all have reasons to be thankful. Cicero said, “A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all other virtues.”

If only we can think well, we can thank better. God loves thanksgiving. Scripture says that the Lord inhabits the praises of His people. When we praise God even for where we are, He is compelled to take us to where we ought to be, because He is sure that when we get there, we will also thank Him.

Whether the bank account is red or green or yellow, Bible says “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

Why don’t you just go ahead and give thanks to God for everything that has to do with you. As you do so, God will give you more reasons to be thankful in Jesus Name. Amen!

EXERCISE IT

June 7, 2013

Recently I met a friend of mine that we grew up together and I could not believe my eyes. He was all built up, with lot of muscles everywhere. I was dazed. When we were in school, we both were nicknamed as the tiniest. The last time I saw him, he was still as skinny as myself.

I could not hold it anymore, so I asked him, “What have you been eating that has made you this muscular?” He smiled like a big boss in an action movie and said, “It is not food that has made me be like this, it’s the body building exercise that I have been doing.” In order words, my friend has been going to the gym regularly.

Do you know that we have power deposited inside of us? Just like we have muscles that are not been taken to the gym and as a result, they remain small. So also, the power inside of us is limited in action because we refuse to exercise it.

Apostle Peter had the power to heal inside of him even before Jesus left them to be with the Father, but he never did use it until he saw the lame at the temple and the power came forth by reason of exercising it.

You have power to make wealth inside of you, go forth and prosper. You have power to tread upon the lion and adder and to trample the young lion and the dragon under your feet, so stop being fearful. You have power to heal the sick and set the captives free because whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. Exercise your authority.

It don’t matter your rank if you do not use the power that comes with that office. It don’t matter your knowledge of the scripture if you do not apply it to life’s practical situations. Until you exercise your spiritual authority, it remains dormant and you remain on the same spot. Exercise your spiritual authority. Work it out. Take it to the gym.

As you do so, mountains will skip at your order in Jesus Name. Amen.

DIVINE REVELATION

June 6, 2013

Revelation is the unfolding process of something that has already existed. In order words, in a “Who wants to be a millionaire” TV show, all the answers are already known but can only be revealed after the contestant has picked his own choice.

In the kingdom of God, divine revelation means the unveiling of something that has been somewhere before the time of the revealing. It means making known or informing.

1 Cor 2: 9-10 says “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” Hallelujah!

Some of us struggle with life because we just can’t reason out why God wants us to do something. Why would God ask me to give my only car out when I have just one? Why would God ask me to resign when I don’t have another offer yet? One thing about divine revelation is that it’s always against natural reasoning. It will never make sense to a natural man (1 Cor 2:14). What the Spirit of God will reveal unto you to do will most times if not all the times be contrary to humanly prescribed way because His ways are higher than our ways.

Marching around the wall of Jericho and blowing some kind of trumpet on the seventh day did not make sense. Bathing in river Jordan did not make sense to Namaan. Preparing her last meal for a man who calls himself a Prophet did not make any sense.

However, if the children of Israel had not march round the wall and blow the trumpet, the wall of Jericho would never have collapsed. If Namaan had not gone to have his bath in river Jordan, he would have remained an honorable leper. If the widow had not prepared that meal for the prophet, she would have ate it alone and died.

My prayer is that God will show you clear next steps to take as regards that worrisome area of your life in Jesus Name. Amen!

ASK FOR HELP

June 5, 2013

Recently, I was meant to collect something from someone and I didn't know how to ask. The person owed me and I was not wired to know how to ask for pay back. Sometimes I wire myself to do that though when the need arises. In this case, I could not ask for reason yet unknown to me even though I have used several body languages.

Suddenly, I just decided to hand over the task of doing that which I couldn't do to the Holy Ghost. “Holy Spirit, put it upon the heart of this person to pay me” was the short prayer I prayed. Friends, it was not up to one minute that the person came to me to say “I am meant to give you some amount, right?” He did not even allow me respond before sorting me.

At that point, I came to understand that the reason why we all struggle through life is because we have categorized some things as “my tasks” and some as “for God to fix.” However, when any of the items in the “my tasks” list end up not working out well, we now move it to “for God to fix” list whereas, we should have just moved everything into His plate from the onset.

A mother shared a story of how his son would refuse her help with his homework each time she offered to help. Each time the son refused, the loving and gentle mother would let him be, but she noticed that the son would always come back to ask for help after the teacher has graded the homework and he missed one or two of the questions.

Bible says that the Holy Spirit is our helper. Doesn't it then make sense to just ask for help from Him? The Holy Spirit should not be your plan B; He is your entire plan. He knows how best to help you. Stop going it your way, ask for direction from Him. Stop doing it your way, ask for guidance from Him.

I pray that as you ask the Holy Ghost for help, He will answer you speedily in Jesus Name. Amen!

BE EXPECTANT

June 4, 2013

I read the story of a woman who always seemed to think bad guys were prowling their home. At least once a week, she’d wake the husband up, claiming she heard a burglar downstairs. This went on for years. Finally, one night, she did it again and the husband followed the routine just as he has always done.

But this time, he met a real burglar who said to him, “All I want is just your valuable.” He did exactly and handed over them to the burglar jewelry and cash. As the burglar was about taking off, the man stopped him and said, “Wait a minute, you can’t leave yet, you should come meet my wife upstairs. She’s been expecting you all these years.”

Expectation, they say, is the mother of manifestation. To experience goodness, you have to expect it, because what you expect you prepare for. Michael Jordan said that “You must expect great things before you can do them.”

However, we live in an age where pessimism is like the in-thing. People are always very good at seeing why it won’t work out or why it is not possible and all. I have met several people in my life that are always like, “I am so not sure if this is going to work.” But we have forgotten that the scripture says God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

Someone said that when you pray and you are not expecting an answer, you are just playing. Life will give unto you whatever you expect from it. For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off (Prov 23:18). Expectation is crucial to your success. Miracles are delivered on the platform of expectations.

The lame at the temple gate in Acts 3 was expecting something from Peter (Acts 3:5) and Peter gave him what money could not buy – healing.

Your expectations shall not be aborted in Jesus Name. Amen!

YOU’VE GOT NO EXCUSE

June 3, 2013

Have you ever wondered why we call God the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? I agree He is God of Abraham because Abraham was the father of faith. He is God of Isaac because Isaac was obedient; he was willing to be sacrificed. But God of Jacob, c’mon! Hey, Jacob was a cheater and a scam. So how come God is saying He is the God of Jacob?

What God is trying to tell us is that, He is not just the God of saints and perfect people; He is the God of those who have had a rough past. He is the God of those who have failed before.

Later in life, Jacob became a great man and God had to change his name from Jacob (deceiver) to Israel (cleansed with God).

Stop using your past as an excuse for your present situation. Some people are fond of saying, “if only I was given birth to in maybe Abuja or London, then things would have been a little better.”

The four lepers looked beyond their medical status, and forged ahead, then why not you? Isaac saw famine in Gerar so much that people were relocating to Egypt and other neighboring countries. But Isaac did not use the fact that there was famine or that people were moving as an excuse not to sow. He sowed in that land and reaped a 100 fold harvest.

The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. Silver and gold belongs to our God. Honestly, you don’t have any excuse for failure. Wake up this moment and do away with that garment of excuse. Jesus could have told the Father, “Don’t let me die now because there are still more sinners,” but He didn’t say that because He knew that excuses are for losers.

Your color, age, stature, gender or origin is not an excuse, destinies are tied to you. If you refuse to fulfill your destiny, you deny them the opportunity to fulfill theirs.

I pray that you shall fulfill destiny in Jesus Name. Amen!

DON’T SETTLE FOR LESS

June 2, 2013

A high school professor of Psychology came to class to conduct a test for his students. Before distributing the question papers, he announced. “Guys, I am so proud of you all and I promise you that nobody will fail this subject and that is why I am here to make you an offer. If you want an automatic C, all you have to do is raise up your hand and I will give you a C.”

Slowly, one hand got up, and then another and another until about half or more of the class population were having their hands raised up. He asked them to put down their names and they left the class happy they at least got a C.

The professor distributed the question papers face down on the student’s desk and instructed them not to turn it over until they were told to do so. He then told them how they should always strive for the best in life after which he asked them to turn the papers open. On opening the papers, there were just two sentences in there; “Congratulations, you just made an A.”

Many times in life we accept a C not realizing that God has got an A for us. Many times we refuse to receive God’s best because we settle for less. The truth is all things are possible to him that believes. Settling for less is accepting what life offers. Friends, refuse life’s offers and accept God’s offers.  Jer 29:11 says for I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Many times for the fear of been disappointed, we just play it cool. We lower the bar of expectations to avoid disappointment. That’s not the plan of God for us.  Aim high. The best sales should be yours. You should marry the best in the land. You should be the best in your school. You have an infinite capacity inside of you to do and to be all you have always wanted, for the seed of greatness is inside of you. You are God’s best and God’s bests don’t settle for less than God’s best!

You shall excel in Jesus Name. Amen!

STEADFAST FAITH

June 1, 2013

Faith is not faith when doubt can overcome it. Faith means, there is every evidence to show that this economic depression that has led to my been laid off at work has so eaten well into every aspect of our economy, but I know that My own God SHALL supply all of my needs, according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus. In order words, my source of supply is not primarily my employer but my creator.

Rewards await you if you stay steadfast in your faith. Don’t let doubters ruin your optimistic spirit. I know people who since the day I have met them, they have always have their reason why something cannot happen. Listen to me, doubters will never cease in the land. They are the people who are always asking, “What makes you think everything will work out?” “I am so not very sure that this idea will fly.”

Today, I want to tell you what to tell them. Look at them in the eyes and say, “My friend, the fact is, I myself don’t think it will work out. I know it will work out.”

Zech 9:12 says that we should be prisoners of hope. Hope feeds your faith and lifts your spirit. Listen to me, no man will encourage you. Ordinary men are wired to doubt so don’t be angry when even your best friend says “I doubt if this will ever work out.” Just tell him, “My God can do all things!”

Refuse to allow your faith waiver. Refuse to allow your faith get infected. Guard your faith jealously. Be steadfast in your faith; be rugged and dogged with your faith.

Hello, faith makes the impossible possible, and don’t forget that all things are possible to him that believes, so it takes a man of faith to believe that all things will be made possible for him.

I pray for you today in the name that is above every other name that, where your natural power cannot take you to, faith in the Almighty will take you past there in Jesus Name. Amen!
